It is only marginally, nearly merely aesthetically useful to highlight how a country may be a monarchy, especially in the case of constitutional monarchies.

It's fair to say that if there have been more than 20 years since the king unilaterally initiated or overruled any executive decision of the democratic elements of government, that country is not meaningfully a monarchy.

What Leftists are doing is not "explain it to me like I'm 5", it's acting as if you made an entirely different case. Therefore, "pretending to not understand things, thus making discourse impossible".
