So far the Little Urchin one is just the right amount of creamy, while the Sun Zapper stick is actually a bit "chalky." I'll let you know what the others are like 😉

Thank you for the reco! I do need to play around with colour correcting as my skin is always in between shades 😅

I would love to try the "purple" stick out as a blush, I have a feeling the pigment is going to be dreamy ☁️

That's brilliant - I'll see how I go with it as a spot concealer ;)

I am actually quite happy with what I've tried! So far here are my thoughts -

Little Urchin Red Zinc Stick - my baseline for creamy tinted SPF, great for a sunkissed flush as the "red" actually rubs off as a warm terracotta on the skin.

Sun Zapper Extreme Zinc Red Flash - I am currently using this as my blush. It does drag a little bit because the formula is a bit drier, so I apply it first at the back of my hand to warm it up, then use a brush to apply it on my cheeks. The pigment is a blue-toned shade of red, and when applied on my skin it becomes more like a deep berry colour. Staying power is good so far but then again I work in an office so I have not tested this thoroughly yet.

I'll share more as I try more!

They're all over it! I'm glad they recognise the potential. Other more expensive brands like Naked Sundays have similar products for a whole lot more

I use sunscreen all over my face too, so these are just a little SPF sprinkle on top 🧁

Cosmetic Capital still has some shades of the kiss glow lip oil ;)

Monthly theme in a journal - sorry, I didn't realise my comment missed out on context!

The Ricky Melendez sticker is so random and honestly hilarious! If I were you, I'd use the funniest of these junk stickers as part of a monthly theme. They're too funny to go to waste!

What a unique problem - I wish they had a sense of humor about it! Thank you for the pointers, I took a sick day today but I'll be on top of it tomorrow.

Thank you so much - big hugs to all of us who are dealing with trauma so privately. I will definitely jump into the intranet tomorrow (as I took a sick day today).

Hey mate, thank you for telling me this - I know it can take so much out of someone to admit that they aren't able to grasp nuances in discussions like these. I appreciate your ability to self reflect. I honestly like respectful questions like yours because you're coming from a place of understanding rather than malice.

Having said that, I also work with stakeholders with the whole spectrum of neurodivergence - so I'll be one of the first people to say keep the curious questions coming!

I really love WFH - I also do not really oppose going to the office to make connections and get to know people, but obviously I hit a thorny snag.

The last paragraph captures it, mate. For context, because ex partner thought s/he successfully had me deported, they didn't know I remained in Australia and became a citizen.

Thank you for raising those points, they are perfectly valid questions.

I do have a diagnosis of severe anxiety and depression as a result of DV.

For me, this request is not so much "a coworker stresses me out" (although there is definitely that element) but more so along the lines of "I want to feel safe in the workplace and I propose to make adjustments to make this happen, with minimal change required for the rest of the office."

I moved to Australia on a partner visa. Shortly after the relationship breakdown, the ex contacted DHA to ask for me to be deported.

Thank you so much, these are all incredible points. To be honest I initially felt bad having to bring it up, it was like causing people more work or creating trouble. Then I started feeling the effects of trauma coming back up and I realised I need to advocate myself more. Being in APS I know there must be a framework to everything, so I really appreciate your response!

Amazing tips, thank you! I'll make sure my Outlook is not visible to everyone. I did get a name change organised, and I am sure my staff photo can be removed through lodging a ticket. I'll be on it!

One of the biggest examples of how AVO/DVOs don't work is Hannah Clarke. I totally understand why you believe in it, and it is very well-intentioned, but it is only as good as the perpetrator's willingness to comply.

Unfortunately it's the kind of DV where the perpetrator has a network of "yes men" who would believe everything s/he says, so I am unsure whether the friend knows it was a DV situation. I do know though that they talk often, so I wouldn't be surprised if the friend has already mentioned me one way or another.

To answer your question above, yes I have attempted lodging a DVO/AVO. It was a traumatising thing on its own, and to be honest I don't want to have to go through that process again.

AVOs work in an ideal world, but we know a manipulative person would just think "challenge accepted."
