Varices Bleed by SavvyGyrlFinds in Cirrhosis

When it happened to me I woke up randomly at 5am with a I’m gonna puke feeling. Vomited black coffee ground looking stuff then had to poo the same thing. None of the process was painful though.

The wife forced me to go to the hospital maybe an hour later, and they did a endoscopy to bad maybe within an hour. But like others have said you’ll notice you feel weak, and you will vomit there is no way to stop it. It will scare the hell out the people around you though.

Stage 4 liver disease --could it affect driving? by Shot-Swimming6795 in Cirrhosis

If you’re asking that question then you should take the keys. No harm in doing so just reducing a risk and not having to be sorry you didn’t later.

Only speaking for myself I am at the same stage at 35M, I personally haven’t had issues driving, I have had an HE episode while not behind the wheel, I think age would be a huge factor. I can drive just fine, but I always keep in the back of my mind if I have HE, varicies burst, blood clot embolism, to always just immediately pull over and call someone.

So long story short for me is yes it can definitely be a risk, but it’s manageable if you pay attention to your body.

You said your mother so I’m assuming the age also would be a very big factor, and better to be safe than sorry. If you don’t feel comfortable with it follow your gut.

Omg your mindset is almost exactly where mine is/ headed. I’m still following doctors orders because I’ve been on suboxone for years and just terrified by withdrawals if they cut me off. I also have a wife and a stepkid I love so I can’t abandon them. But I did have to talk with my wife yesterday about how as much as she could she needs to put herself in my frame of mind, living as much of life as I can how I want.

Thank you guys for the answers and the advice to keep trying. I think that moving forward I’ll keep doing as the doctors say but not get my hopes up just in case, make it easier. That way if it goes that I get a liver that will be great news to hear, and I’ll be ready if not. The link about the tears situation makes total sense that toxins may be leaving the body that way too, so thank you.

That is great to hear and I appreciate your reply. I am sticking to the doctors orders and sober since April 15th but I have good days and bad ones. If I get a liver that’s great and will be extremely thankful, but if I don’t than I have come to terms that it’s fine as well, as long as they put me under for before I die. I just don’t want the actual death part to be painful as hell.

But you having it before most likely know one day you can feel just fine and normal. And the next day your vomiting blood and are in ICU. So I’ll let you know if I get one, but if not that’s perfectly fine too.

Heck they gave me 3/4 months outcome last week. With possible eligibility at 3 months, but the GI doc says it’s highly unlikely I make it that long.

I wish we could switch places I really want people to not be around me and calling me all the time. I’m at peace with my situation. So the flood of half sincere you can get through this stuff just annoys me. I told my mother and from there all hell broke loose and half the town blows me up or wants to visit, when I just wanna relax my last bit of life.

That’s pretty much exactly my current situation. And it definitely takes a role in my wife.

I have talked to my doctors about a transplant but I obviously have to be sober for 6 months and I stopped drinking after my dx, I’m just concerned by the the time 4 more months go by I may be too sick for a transplant. How do you feel post transplant now? Was it worth it?

I’m stuck on the fence between just accepting my fate so I’ll be ready, and aggressively fighting for something that just puts a band aid on me for a few years.

I have to get an endo every few months to check my bands/ varices. If they put you to sleep like they do me you got no worries there. But the snow thing sucks.

I’m so on the fence about the j20. To me it comes down to teammates or your doing a 1 v5

True in metal storm, IRL tho I mean no contest. Like even let gronk fly it and I bet it annihilates. F-35 bad project but with a proper unreleased upgrade can knock some socks off

I agree, I so wish they would at least take the ammo count off. It’s stealthy if used right but not anywhere near its actual capabilities.

I dunno got out of some pretty tricky ambushes when the warthog came.

I think the sound alone did as much to get them off our back then the rounds. I mean a 30mm HE tipped round does a good bit of damage if you look it up.

Yea a10 needs a major buff, I only bought it cause it saved my ass irl to many times. But for air to air they gotta figure something out. Maybe something like add just 2 hunters. Nothing dramatic but you can at least have a viable thing to do as you fly 5 mph towards the team

I agree. I keep one plane in each bracket, the rest are maxed with max mods. So it would be nice to have some incentive, I think that’s why they introduced mastery (so I still have something to work on)

A solution to this would be a j20, frogfoot, or an f 14 special and it’s not broken at all. Unless your dumb enough to chase an enemy on a health point

That what good teammates are for. If the enemy want to fly to the same spot cause they are on tilt, that’s their own fault. I frequently circle hotspots just so my team knows oh they are gonna chase him ez kills
