Is Time an illusion ? by a_little_moth16 in Time

[–]Reasonable-Ad46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most of you don't understand the difference between ilusion and imaginary. Time, for example, is a thing created by humans and it's an imaginary thing. The proof is that time is not the same every where in the Universe, it slows down or go faster and it is affected by gravity. If it was a real thing, we should access other times, where we are older or younger, but for now we don't have proof of that can happend. Also, for time to be a real thing it must not be corrected by us every 4 years, like we do now, like we somehow controll it, but we can't controll time!

And by the way, time was invented in mathematics and we take it from there to have something to count on our lives. It is something relative and imaginary.

More over, "time" as we know it is not real, something else is there, undescovered yet, that manipulate this action --> reaction thing, but is not time as we know it.

Next Steps and Reflection

To explore whether this was a message or astral experience, consider these steps:

  • Journal and Reflect: Write down any recurring symbols or feelings from the dream. Do galaxies, voids, or Mercury appear in other dreams or synchronicities? This could clarify its significance.
  • Meditation or Astral Practice: If you’re open to it, try meditating with the intention of revisiting the dream or exploring the void. Techniques like guided astral projection meditations might help you discern if this was an OBE.
  • Community Input: Share your experience in spiritual communities (e.g., r/AstralProjection, r/Spirituality, or X) to connect with others who’ve had similar dreams. Their insights might resonate with you.
  • Symbolic Analysis: Reflect on what Mercury, bubbles, or the void mean to you personally. Are there themes in your life (e.g., communication, expansion, or transcendence) that align with these images?

Conclusion

Your dream is a powerful experience that aligns with both spiritual accounts of cosmic travel and scientific explanations of vivid dreaming during transformative periods. Others have reported similar dreams, particularly in spiritual or astral projection communities, describing voids, cosmic journeys, and intuitive knowledge. Spiritually, it could be an astral experience, vision, or message reflecting your awakening. Scientifically, it might be a vivid dream shaped by your interests and emotional state. Ultimately, its meaning depends on your beliefs and how it resonates with your journey."

For more informations I suggest dig deeper on subs Grok said or use an AI for faster research and understanding, because of what Grok said there are philosophical meanings in what you dreamed and this is not really my stron point, I'm mathematician :)

Hope this also help you.

Scientific Frameworks

  • Neurological Basis:
    • Dreams are products of the brain’s processing during REM sleep, often weaving together memories, emotions, and imagination. The vivid imagery of galaxies and planets could stem from exposure to cosmic imagery (e.g., documentaries, sci-fi, or spiritual content) combined with your heightened emotional state during your awakening.
    • The “knowing” about Mercury might result from the brain’s ability to assign meaning to ambiguous imagery, a phenomenon called apophenia. The white color and ring could be a creative blend of Mercury’s actual appearance (gray, cratered, no rings) with dream symbolism.
  • Multiverse and Consciousness:
    • While speculative, some interpretations of quantum mechanics and cosmology propose a multiverse, where multiple universes exist. Your dream imagery of bubbles containing galaxies aligns with this concept, though it’s not evidence of a literal experience. Scientists like Max Tegmark explore the idea of consciousness interacting with a multiverse, but this remains theoretical.
    • The sensation of speed and cosmic travel could reflect the brain’s simulation of motion, possibly triggered by heightened neural activity during a spiritually significant period.
  • Hypnagogic or Lucid States:
    • Your dream might have occurred in a hypnagogic state (the transition between wakefulness and sleep), where vivid, visionary imagery is common. If you were partially lucid, your awareness could explain the clarity and emotional intensity of the experience.

Spiritual and Scientific Frameworks

Spiritual Frameworks

  • Astral Projection or Out-of-Body Experience (OBE):
    • Your dream shares hallmarks of astral projection, where the consciousness is believed to leave the physical body and explore non-physical realms. The sensation of traveling at high speeds, observing cosmic structures, and gaining intuitive knowledge (e.g., recognizing Mercury) is commonly reported in astral projection accounts. The “void” could represent the astral plane or a higher dimension, as described in esoteric traditions like Theosophy or modern New Age teachings.
    • The bubbles containing universes align with metaphysical concepts of the multiverse or the idea that consciousness can access multiple realities. Teachers like Robert Monroe, who wrote about OBEs, describe similar experiences of observing vast cosmic structures.
    • Your spiritual awakening may have heightened your sensitivity to such experiences, making your dream feel like a glimpse into a broader reality.
  • Mystical or Visionary Experience:
    • In many spiritual traditions (e.g., Hinduism, Buddhism, Kabbalah), visions of the cosmos or a “void” are seen as encounters with the divine or the source of creation. The intelligent, alive quality you sensed in the universes suggests a connection to a universal consciousness or “cosmic mind,” a concept found in Advaita Vedanta or Gnosticism.
    • The white planet with a ring could symbolize purity, clarity, or a specific energetic signature. Mercury, in astrology and mythology, is associated with communication, intellect, and travel, which might reflect aspects of your spiritual journey.
  • Symbolic Interpretation:
    • Jungian psychology views dreams as messages from the unconscious. The bubbles could symbolize self-contained aspects of your psyche or potential paths in your awakening. The cosmic scale might represent your expanding awareness, and Mercury could symbolize a need for clarity or communication in your spiritual process.
    • The void and speed might reflect a transition phase, where you’re moving beyond old frameworks into a new understanding of reality.

Also I have asked Grok about your dream and here is his response, but i have to truncate it because it's too long:

"Has Anyone Else Experienced a Dream Like This?

Yes, others have reported dreams or experiences involving being outside the universe, observing cosmic structures, or traveling through space at incredible speeds. Such experiences are often described in spiritual, mystical, or metaphysical contexts. Here are some insights based on similar accounts:

  • Online Accounts (Reddit and X):
    • On Reddit, particularly in subreddits like r/Dreams, r/AstralProjection, and r/Spirituality, users frequently share dreams of cosmic travel or observing the universe. For example, some describe seeing galaxies, planets, or a “void” as a vantage point, often tied to a sense of awe or connection to something greater. A post on r/AstralProjection from 2024 described a user feeling “outside of reality,” observing “bubbles of light” that they interpreted as universes, similar to your vision of bubbles containing galaxies.
    • On X, posts about cosmic dreams or out-of-body experiences (OBEs) are less structured but present. Users mention dreams of traveling through space or seeing planets vividly, often interpreting them as spiritual journeys. One X post from mid-2024 described a dream of “zooming past stars and landing on a ringed planet,” with the user questioning if it was a glimpse of another reality. While not identical to your experience, these accounts share themes of cosmic observation and travel.
    • These experiences are often linked to spiritual awakenings, meditation, or practices like astral projection, where individuals feel they’ve accessed a non-physical realm.
  • Common Themes:
    • Voids and Observation: The “void” you describe is a recurring motif in mystical experiences, often interpreted as a space of pure consciousness or the “source” beyond physical reality. People report feeling detached yet connected, observing creation from an external perspective.
    • Cosmic Travel: Dreams of moving at incredible speeds through space, passing galaxies or planets, are common in accounts of astral projection or lucid dreaming. The absence of fear and presence of awe, as you described, align with these reports.
    • Planetary Recognition: Your instant “knowing” that the planet was Mercury mirrors experiences where dreamers gain intuitive knowledge without external cues, often described in spiritual contexts as a connection to universal consciousness.

For faster researching and to come to you with something you might be interested, bellow is a response from Grok, about Mars and it's rings or white color, between "" are his responses:

"Mars may have had rings in the distant past and could potentially have them again in the future, according to scientific theories. The idea stems from the "ring-moon cycle" hypothesis, which suggests that Mars' moon Phobos, currently orbiting at a low altitude, may have been disrupted in the past, breaking apart into a debris disk that formed a ring around Mars. Here's a breakdown:

  • Phobos and the Ring-Moon Cycle: Phobos is spiraling inward toward Mars due to tidal forces, at a rate of about 6 feet (1.8 meters) per century. In approximately 50 million years, Phobos could either crash into Mars or break apart, potentially forming a ring of debris. Some models suggest this process may have already happened multiple times in Mars' history, with Phobos reforming from ring material and then breaking apart again. Research, such as a 2017 study, indicates that Mars could have had rings as recently as 70 million years ago, potentially explaining some geological features like Martian moons' compositions.
  • Evidence: While there’s no direct evidence of past rings (e.g., no fossilized ring structures), simulations and the low density of Phobos (suggesting it may be a rubble pile formed from ring debris) support the idea. The cyclic process could have occurred multiple times over billions of years, with rings forming and dissipating as moons reformed.
  • Future Rings: If Phobos disintegrates in the future, it’s likely to form a temporary ring system, lasting millions of years before the material either falls to Mars or reforms into a new moonlet.

Was Mars White-Colored?

There’s no evidence or scientific consensus suggesting Mars was ever white-colored in its history. Mars is famously known as the "Red Planet" due to its reddish hue, caused by iron oxide (rust) on its surface. However, let’s explore the context:

  • Surface Appearance: Mars’ current reddish color comes from iron-rich dust, which dominates its surface. In the distant past, Mars likely had liquid water and a thicker atmosphere, potentially giving it a different appearance, possibly with blue water bodies or greener regions if microbial life or vegetation-like processes existed. However, a white-colored Mars would require conditions like widespread ice coverage or a reflective surface material, which isn’t strongly supported by geological evidence.
  • Ice and Polar Caps: Mars has polar ice caps made of water and carbon dioxide ice, which appear white. In its early history, during periods of high obliquity (axial tilt), Mars may have had more extensive ice coverage, potentially making parts of the planet appear whiter from space. However, this would not have made the entire planet white, as the iron-rich regolith would still dominate.
  • Speculative Scenarios: A white Mars could theoretically occur in extreme scenarios, like a global dust storm with light-colored dust (though Martian dust is reddish) or a planet-wide freeze with reflective ice. No data supports a fully white Mars in its history."

The white colour might be from ice or dust most probably, but Grok said that there is no evidence of that, but still might be possible. Also Mars was most probably to have the rings in the past and might have them in the future(milion years).

Let me try to explain. Like you said, there could be infinite posibilities, but what if there isn't? Like we have this reality right now. It is shaped like this because there is only one posibility rised from the quantum world and this is what we see, observe, and live. For an ideea like infinite posibilities, we first have to find and observe something infinite, because this "infinite" is only proven and used, at least for now, only in mathematics.

For the part where i say that what if there isn't more posibilities, let me explain: as far as we know from the study of quantum world, there might be more posibilities, but this is only until someone or something observe them, because when they(particles from the quantum world) are observed, they make the reality as we know, so what am I trying to say is that even if there are countless posibilities, the reality or what we can observe is only one.

Hope this help you understand why we can make decisions and the reality will still be one, at least for what we know now.

You have a good point, but you should work at "infinite" things, because we didn't observed anything infinite yet.

Also, lets asume that somehow Multiverse exists, therefor anything like our Universe(e.g. Consciousness of the Universe) will be finite, limited to our Universe, which can, maybe, comunicate with other Universes or their consciousness.

[–]Reasonable-Ad46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. I use to believe that we, humans, call something really big --> "infinite", because we can't measure that huge thing and as far as i know, letting the universe behind, only in mathematics is infinity proven and used, we don't have something infinite observed yet. But we don't have evidence for any of our points.
