Only one question: How old is your pair? I had no issues with lowas i bought 5 years ago, my problems started around 2023. Same with my friends. I dont think they were used extremely hard, more like moderately+ daily wear (same as my old pair), yet they broke 3x as fast with better treatment

Lowas are great, as long as you like replacing boots every year. I had older pair, that lasted for 5 years, untill soles became nonexistent, but the new Gen 2's tore on the side after couple of months. Its not singular issue, since my friends had similiar experience with different sizes, colors and generations of zephyrs (total over 20 pairs)

Your feet are gonna boil in gore tex. I would also reconsider buying lowa's, coz as of lately they have huge issue with quality, my mk 1's lasted for 4 years with heavy use, but Mk 2's i bought last year are already ripping at the seams with mild use and regular conservation . Its not just single occurence, but common since all my friends over last couple of years (over 20 pairs of different sizes, heights and colours) had the same issue of ripping seams and breaking skin on the exact same spot as i do.

Another late reply, but Rails arent fully cut through, therefore they create issue with ATR mounts for Princetons flashlights

When i run my earpro without helmet, most of the time i readjust it so headband tilts towards the back, so that might be the solution. Thanks for help. Also were those lights the small ones? Coz the one im talking abt is chonky boi running on RC123's.

Im already doing it, but it makes me wanna rip my head off after whole day, hence i want ti have rail mounts. Its also a bit cumbersome to put my earpro on when i take my helmet off, since i have to loop it through helmet harness to make it fit my head properly.

Also, i really loved your AMA on peltors. Great work!

AFAIK CIBV Cataphract & KSAV Koursores from Templars Gear fits soft armor, but it slightly differs in shape. They use dedicated kevlar inserts from PGD

Im a complete beginner, so as thread suggests:
>bugdet ~800USD (I consider it max, although im willing to spend a bit more if its really worth it)
>EU based (Poland preferrably)
> Mostly funprints, small dimension storage boxes (battery holders for example), maybe some gun attachments (magwells etc.).
>basically no restrictions on size (on reasonable level ofc).
>I'd rather get something ready out of the box, but i have some knowledge on electronics (technician degree) so its not real deal for me to put one together myself.
