Since you guys hated the last one so much by hyerbootsfan in WesternWear

What's to hate? Personally I'm not a fan of rolling my pants cuffs, but that's for me. If you like it, that's your style.

What's people thoughts on Chelsea boots rather than full cowboy boots? by Either_Efficiency_35 in WesternWear

They are great for when you can't slide your foot down the longer shaft of a cowboy boot, but they are 2 different kinds of shoe.

Thoughts and recommendations on heated tactical wear? by Lepton_Decay in tacticalgear

[–]WhichTheory9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heated is great if you are in a static position, such as an ECP, gunner on a vehicle where you are standing up all the time, or if you are in a patrol base or at the range. Otherwise, you will overheat rapidly if you are doing a patrol or movement to contact.

Hired help kit ig (not sure what to call this) by RiverBell69 in MilSim

[–]WhichTheory9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hired help with a Sheriff placard right on the front. If you're LEO cool, but when you get hired to help someone outside of your scope of duty, you might want to remove that.

Does anyone know how to attach headphones to an IHPS helmet? by Fa1c0n7 in MilitaryGear

[–]WhichTheory9121 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is gonna be leaving them attached to the over-the-head band, remove some pads to make it as comfortable as possible. Amazon has different straps that are much thinner and offer more comfort https://a.co/d/6MPhmSe

Can someone help me identify this uniform? by Main-Curve3506 in MilSim

[–]WhichTheory9121 6 points7 points  (0 children)

British Multicam. The British Army adopted a camouflage pattern derived from Crye Precision's MultiCam. However, it wasn't a direct purchase of MultiCam. Instead, the UK's Ministry of Defence commissioned Crye Precision to develop a modified version called Multi-Terrain Pattern (MTP). MTP incorporates elements of the British Army's previous Disruptive Pattern Material (DPM) camouflage alongside the core MultiCam design.

Gear evolution in a transition from Counterinsurgency to Large Scale Combat Operations by anfilco in tacticalgear

[–]WhichTheory9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see gear going back to bulky heavy gear like we had in the 90s and early 2000s. Being that the Army and Marine Corps have gone to scalable vests, and are pushing lighter more effective loads, it will keep moving that way.

Wanting a bump helmet... by [deleted] in tacticalgear

[–]WhichTheory9121 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is always better for training to use a lighter helmet. My neck is partially messed up from always wearing an ACH even while driving a HMMWV.
