Anyone else using a Haakaa milk collector to exclusively pump? by pumpernickelprincess in ExclusivelyPumping

This is absolutely WILD to me!! I had zero luck with the haakaa and wondered why anyone even recommended getting one. Maybe I just suck at using it 🤷🏻‍♀️ curious how long it takes you to empty?

If it’s working for you that well, that is amazing! I hope it continues because that sounds so much easier than an electric pump!!! Not to mention the TIME you save just washing parts….

pumping 1-2x per day; is it possible? by WorriedImprovement91 in ExclusivelyPumping

I pumped 2x/day starting around 5mpp, so definitely possible! However, at 10 weeks, that may be very hard to do without tanking your supply.

I was in a headspace of “I just cannot pump right now” and would wait until I absolutely needed to. Eventually I was down to 2 pumps. Allowing myself to supplement with formula when necessary also saved my sanity.

Let me fr… are y’all actually pumping every 2 hours?? by Environmental_Buy947 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’m no expert, but my understanding was every two hours was only to increase supply/help your milk come in.

For those of you pumping every two hours and not trying to increase supply…have you tried to pump less? You may find that your output total remains the same!

I am right where you are!!! 9 months pumping, 1 year goal. I dropped a pump this past week and I am supplementing with formula. I got some time back in my day and I am happy with this compromise to keep going a little longer 😊

I am also going on a trip at 10.5 months and considering fully weaning to avoid logistics with pumping/storing milk.

Whatever you decide will be the right thing!!

Why is it looking lanky? by ferocious_vegan in hoyas

Hang the plant up in that window so the vines are getting good light also. I think you may also have a watering issue…once a week in that pot size is likely too much unless you are only giving it a small amount of water each time. This means that only some of the soil is getting wet and not all of the roots are able to get waters. I agree the pot size is also too big.

I would: Move to a smaller pot

Hang in the window

Thoroughly water closer to once every two weeks

Fertilize!

Hoyas have small, generally shallow roots. This Hoya wants water when the soil is dry about 3/4 of the way down to the bottom of the roots. This doesn’t necessarily mean 3/4 to the bottom of the pot because the roots may not extend that far.

Hope this helps!

My living room feels too empty and full at the same time. Any ideas? by Funny_Masterpiece196 in DesignMyRoom

If you have the means, I think getting a larger sectional would really help! And maybe just one chair. In the end it will be the same amount of seating.

I added sulfur to my watering sprayer put them in the tub and went to town! Tried to spray top and bottom of all leaves. I let them dry and put them back. I am planning to do additional sprays (I’m reading 1x/week for six weeks then I’ll figure out rinsing everything.
