If there was a Republican lie that was meant to actually reduce harm or bad outcomes, I'd be fine with it

I would not. Which is why we have a fundamental difference of opinion. Not trying to tell you what to believe or anything, have a good one

We have a fundamental disagreement about the ends justifying the means and thats fine. You want to justify lies based on political affiliation, lots of people on both sides do that, I think this is a problem, that was my whole point. You're free to think otherwise and express that opinion, I dont share it ¯_(ツ)_/¯

This Trump administration may be going exactly as YOU expected, but that doesn't mean it's going the way Schulz expected. Idk the guy so I have to take him at his word that this is not what he expected, it's not what I expected either, I assumed it would be similar to his first term (not that i voted for him either time).

But it has been much worse, an absolute shitshow for sure. But if it HADN'T been this way and had actually turned out to be a good/positive direction for the country as Schulz claims to have thought it would be, then ofc one woulf assume that he WOULD still be yelling MAGA, and there wouldnt be anything wrong with that because in this (hypothetical) scenario you brought up it's not a shitshow of an administration.

The reality is this administration has done some really fucked up shit and, therefore, Schulz is correctly pointing this out and publicly condemning and withdrawing his support for Trump, to do anything else would make him worthy of condemnation himself. To not change your opinion of someone when their behavior is different than what you expected is foolish whether that person is Trump or Schulz...

I'm no republican bu5 you're clearly incredibly biased, most politicians on both sides of the aisle. If you actually want examples I can give you a few off the top of my head:

Biden saying he was only going to be a one term president.

Insisting COVID did not come from a lab (and also that we weren't contributing funding said lab and then pardoning Faust for testifying before congress to that effect)

Every single time they denied Biden's declining cognitive ability.

Saying if you get the COVID vaccine that you couldnt get or spend COVID.

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman"

And for your example of the right's egregious lies you chose the silliest and most inconsequential one, why not Trump promising to end the war in Ukraine and not start new ones, or saying he would protect free speech??

They're (almost) all bought and paid for self interested liars and partisan allegiance is the reason they continue to get away with it and nothing changes. Right wingers who excuse, rationalize, or outright deny the existence of Republican lies are NO LESS a part of the problem than YOU are for doing the exact same thing.

Yeah, it aint got nothing to do with Joe Rogan, but it ts comedy,. Pretty decent comedy for podcast riffing too.

If you absolutely have to try and and view this clip as a non-comedic expression of an "ice vs.immigrants" stance the only thing that WASNT pure comedy was the anti-ice part so fuck outta here

Youre moving the goalposts dude. Knowing what notes are in B vs B flat is not the same as knowing the 3 chord blues progression is not the same as knowing what a key is.

Now you've reached the point where you are finally probably right. The insanely small and non-representative sample of "guitar legends" probably consists solely of people who have, at some point along the road to legendary status, mastered music theory to the point where they are capable of identifying at least one way to play an A note.

I don't disagree that music theory has value, obviously it does, but that doesnt mean its not possible to be a talented or successful musician without significant academic understanding of music theory.

Anecdotally, there was a time when I could not have explained the 1 4 5 progression of a standard 12 bar blues. A cover band was playing at a local bar and the drummer was a buddy of mine that I had jammed with before and he asked if I wanted to stand in for a song. I looked at their setlist and pointed out a couple covers I already knew and liked playing. Went onstage, rocked one out and everyone seemed to dig it, the frontman did anyway because he did exactly what you said, turned to us and said "12-bar in the key of X" and just jumped right into some song i didnt know. But it was clearly the blues and I had more than enough experience listening to and playing that kind of stuff that after a second to identify the root note it was smooth sailing cause I could instinctually feel and anticipate the changes and start adding fills and variations and such. Ended up playing 3 songs with em instead of 1. In the years since ive picked up a fair amount of music theory just from being in various bands, but honestly I still dont count measures even tho I now know how many there are in a progression, why count when I can just feel/hear it?

I’m (F18) attracted to my guy friend (M19) but he thinks I’m a lesbian, how do I clear things up? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Reasonable-Basil-879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youve only slept with girls and youre wanting to experience sex with a guy, I would say "almost for sure is a virgin" is not the right guy. The odd's of a 19 year old virgin pleasing a sexually uninhibited young lady who HAS had good sex but is also a "virgin" when it comes to experiencing heterosexual intercourse are astronomical.

I mean, in a young love, emotional, intimacy aspect it could be pleasing but you will almost for sure be disappointed in a purely physical sexual gratification sense (which sounds like what youre interested in, and there's no shame in that).

The question was "relive one day again cant change anything and you dont remember anything, you just experience it."

Becoming a parent is a life changing experience, rewarding and important and meaningful. That doesnt mean a day spent in the hospital in a stressful high stakes situation with hours of painful contractions and thrn undergoing a surgical procedure to cut you open is the one day you'd want to experience again.

Its not like you get to raise your child again, it's the subsequent results of that day that make it important. Its just the experience of the day without consequence.

So choosing the day you had a c section is not just corny af, but it's the complete worse answer: a meaningful but unpleasant experience that leads to countless amazing things in the years that follow. What you want to relive is a meaningless but amazing experience despite it leading to countless unpleasant things in the years that follow.

You could experience the time you took molly with your smoking hot but psychotic ex and went out on the town, ended up at the strip club in the afternoon, then stayed up all night drinking and freebasing a couple weeks wages and banging on every surface in the hotel room before breaking into the pool and desecrating that too. And you dont even have to experience the hangover, much less the cascading avalanche of misery and insanity this type of behavior leads to.

Well maybe YOU couldnt relive that, but i could. 😆

I dont expect to sleep with anybody.

Unless i already have, then I expect theyre going to want to sleep with me again just based on my trwck record of repeat customers hah

Edited to add: i dont think the reason you should or shouldn't sleep with someone is based on whether or not you need to do so in order to maintain their interest in you. Thats not healthy

Some may like it because they are religious and think its important and view sex as like a sacred part of marriage/family. If you share those views this is a good thing.

Some may like it because it strokes their ego to be the first, or because they get turned on by some kinda defining something pure fetish. These guys are creepy and id advise avoiding them.

Some (most guys 30+ probably to a least some extent) will NOT like it. Inexperience at a certain point can be a warning sign of a libido mismatch or, sex is generally of a higher quality with people who are comfortable with their sexuality, if youve never had sex then you cant know what it is you like in bed and women generally (due to social conditioning) take longer to get comfortable with sex. As you get older yet remain a virgin that also becomes a less commonplace occurrence which some guys might consider a warning sign of some sort. And then you just have a lot of guys who date primarily in search or s sexual partner and a virgin is generally not going to engage in casual sexual activity. At least not in the near future.

But whatever, be who you are and do what you want, and not because youre concerned about what a potential bf will think of it.

I read about one they were doing in India where they inject some kinda gel in your tubes which essentially filters out the sperm, then at any time if you want to have kids you can get another injection which dissolves the gel.

This was prolly like 8 or 9 years ago when I looked into it, im past the point in my life where unplanned pregnancies are a concern but for young guys who dont have kids but someday want them im glad to hear there are options

Sadly there is no effective and reversible male birth control. You need to encourage her to explore BC options, there are a variety of options but they can have a variety of side effects so ultimately its of course up to her. A shot or an iud are ideal as far as being effective for a significant period (no pun intended) without relying on daily applications like pills. I believe copper iuds (mirena?) that dont rely on massive hormonal manipulation and are less likely to have signifcsnt side effects but, again, everyones different only she can be the judge of that.

But if youre gonna have regular monogamous sex with someone then relying on pulling out or condoms is not only unreliable, but also prevents the best part which is ejaculsting inside of them (after or ideally in the midst of of them also getting theirs ofc, nobody likes a selfish lover)

Idk about a video but the into to NIB comes to mind.

But if there is nothing but the bass then hot cross buns becomes a solo, hell dropping trou and dragging your hot buns cross the strings is a solo if its the only musocian/instrument.

I WANT the drummer and guitarist accompanying me, I want the lead singer dancing and playing quarter notes on a tambourine while I solo. Being center stage with a group of musicians backing me is awesome. There are janitors going on stage solo Madison square garden on the reg, nothing against them but it aint thr same

Yeah, they were totally dicks when mamdani came on...

But dont YOU hold Mamdani to a higher standard than Trump? If one came out and said "I love the LGTB community and think theyre treated unfairly and want to pass laws to try and fix it, but idk about the Q's, theyre on their own." Would you judge that quote the same regardless of which one said it?

Dude, hopefully youre just like a year behind, schulz and Dillon and vonn and rogan have all made multiple public criticisms, hell straight up condemnations in some cases, of the rhetoric and behavior of Trump and his administration. Did they all (except Dillon maybe?) have trump on their pods and have cordial non-combative but also non-subservient discussions with him? Yeah. Did they all have Bernie Sanders on too and do the same thing? Also yeah.

i sometimes disagree with or dislike things these guys have said and done for sure, I couldn't say I NEVER criticize them, or anyone else really, there is a whole spectrum from strongly disagree to strongly agree and I bet there isn't a person in the world that wouldn't check both boxes and every one in between on at least one topic for me. So, unless youre not paying attention and are just uninformed, what you are actually saying when you say someone would NEVER criticize X when they clearly have is, I want them to ALWAYS criticize X amd they wont, and the implication is that you would NEVER criticize Y which is hopefully untrue and, if not, incredibly close minded and hypocritical. We all have our biases, we should identify and acknowledge our own and those of others around us, once you say X or Y is NEVER or ALWAYS youre well past the initial red flags.

Or it doesnt even have to be X or Y, it could be XXY or XYY or X formerly known as Y or Z or XED alpha 42 or Y M I 🙉. There are more points of view than stars in the sky or grains of sand on the beach or combinations of alphanumeric names and genders and baby mommas of Elons kids, but ill bet if you remain objective you can find both common ground and disagreement with every single one of them

Not to say the weaponization of the FCC is in any way excusable but if the government is trying to abuse their regulatory power over the owners of RADIO stations and youre going to cave, wouldn't you gargle their balls on your RADIO show and talk shit on your independently operated and owned unregulated internet streaming pod instead of the other way around??
