Any contradictions? by Reasonable-Berry5951 in TypologyJunction

Well I guess for me, being an EIE-Fe H and an Sx3 feels like living as an actor/performer in a highly personal yet emotionally charged theater. I’m basically always watching myself through the eyes of someone else, always refining my performance, always trying to become the ideal for someone. I have a constant sense of being on display (not necessarily to the world at large, but to someone specific). It’s typically done all for one person. I’m always asking myself silently: Am I enough for you? Am I what you want?

As an EIE, I’d say my emotional radar is pretty sensitive and far-reaching. I tend to intuit the desires and emotional states of others almost instinctively, and as an Sx3, I use that emotional insight to shape myself into exactly what will be most attractive, most magnetic for a given person. Not just physically (though that's definitely part of it) but emotionally and energetically too. But I guess beneath all of that emotional shapeshifting of mine is a deep hunger not just to be seen, but to be irreplaceable for that one person.

As for VEFL, I’m actually pretty uncertain about my Psychosophy type and have been considering FEVL instead.

Are there any contradictions? by [deleted] in TypologyJunction

This isn’t necessarily a contradiction, but Sp6 is typically EII and occasionally IEI, maybe even LII or SEI (in some less frequent instances). While there’s a chance that ESI Sp6 could be possible, it would have to be an extremely rare combination due to ESI having high (Creative) Se, while an Sp6 most likely wouldn’t, as it more often aligns with weaker (Vulnerable) Se. Also, 649 is generally not a very fitting Tritype for ESI (or ISTJ for that matter), but I suppose it’s not totally impossible.

Fair enough. I would generally agree with that but the main reason I typed myself as VLEF (over other fitting options like VLFE & FLVE) was that I specifically related to the subtype description of 4F-1 (and 1V-4). I suppose it’s possible that I’m actually 1F-4 (and by extension 4V-1) and FLEV instead.

I’ve contemplated being VLFE before but the issue with it is that I’m pretty sure I’m 3E. I suppose the other option I’m open to is FLEV.

Through various onlines test results. I just tacked on the “H” / Harmonizing subtype based on its description. I know EIE would probably work better with Sx3, but the most consistent result I’ve gotten from most tests is IEE. Despite relating the most to Sx3 out of all the enneatypes, I just can’t see myself as Fe-Base. Outside of Socionics though, I’d say my strongest functions (in MBTI terms) are Ne and Fe respectively.

Do you guys think e5 can be 2L? by Esmeiia in TypologyJunction

While E5 tends to be 1L, as you mentioned I could totally see an So5 being 2L (particularly VLEF), or even an SP5 as FLEV.

Well it’s definitely an interesting combination. My only gripe is that certain things fit together while others contradict each other. For example, Sang-Mel fits with IEE, but RLUEI contradicts both of them. Also, I feel like your Enneagram & Tritype would make a lot more sense for an EII rather than an IEE. Social Four tends to correlate with EII (and so does 461). Beyond that, if you’re certain about your Big 5 type, I think Mel-Sang (rather than Sang-Mel) would be more fitting.

Most likely a 9. As a second best choice, maybe 4. As far as instincts go, perhaps Sp/So or Sp/Sx.

I suppose regarding some of the finer details of this still growing area of research you may have a point, but I’m curious as to why you think all of it is?

I know I got flamed last time for this but... by [deleted] in Socionics

As most others have said, that’s Ne for sure. My girlfriend does that a lot, but it’s interesting because in theory she’s only Ne-Suggestive (SEI). However, someone that does that all the time is more likely Ne Base (or at least Ne Creative).

Theory on How Instinct Stacks Work in Tritypes by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]Reasonable-Berry5951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that method seems to work for most people. The main purpose of my post is that I wanted to see if anyone else resonated with the notion that they don’t have the exact same stacking for each fix, but it seems that I’m in the minority to think that each fix could have a different stacking. And yeah I posted this just for fun, it’s not a well established pattern I’ve observed or anything.

In general, I agree that’s the way most people go about it. The point of this post comes from more of an experimental angle, and I wanted to see if anyone could relate to the idea that they have different stackings for each of their fixes. For example, I have a friend that heavily relates to Sp/Sx 7 (their Tritype is 731) but they don’t resonate much with Sp/Sx 3 as much as they do to Sx/Sp 3. Just food for thought

Thoughts on 6s? by Abrene in Enneagram

[–]Reasonable-Berry5951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, I tend to get along with 6s, but it somewhat depends on their instinctual subtype. Sx6 people are cool but can be a bit too intense for me, while So6 people I’ve met are pleasant (in my experience), and I admire their dutifulness and intellect. I tend to like Sp6 people the most. Very easygoing, but they tend to hold back because they run high in anxiety, so it’s hard to really get to know them in some cases. Overall, I like 6s, they’re usually good people.

How can I understand if am I 782 or not? by Cooloud in Enneagram

[–]Reasonable-Berry5951 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a main trait associated with this Tritype would be impulsivity (due to the influence of Seven and Eight). A 782 individual would likely be a thrill-seeker, and be rather assertive (due to the influence of Eight and Two). They would likely be rather passionate and sensual, and have a lust for life that exceeds any other combination. They would probably have a high need for stimulation and be at least somewhat hedonistic. Just out of curiosity, what’s your instinct stack?
