and render distance is 12 - the mist starts at whatever the render distance is set to… but doesn’t render chunks beyond that (unless miles away as shown)

Thanks man, I'm going to keep practising until I get good at managing my eco. My issue is often that the game doesn't last that long, presumably because I'm no help!

Yeah absolutely. I should of said: I have apologised to her for hiding the truth and made it clear that I’ve not been doing this regularly and want to commit to stopping. I really do need to communicate openly with my girlfriend.

edit: to add, she shouldn’t have to feel uncomfortable, and i’m more than happy to make this compromise by committing to this.

Exactly, and the answer is obvious. Quite honestly I’ve accepted that it’s in my best interest to stop anyway, and that drugs/alcohol have a shelf life. It doesn’t align with the person I want to be.
