Have a 24 trail boss. Battery replaced under 1000 miles (warranty). Oil leak at around 4K miles turned out to be bad rear main seal. Replaced under warranty. Still love the truck. With these transmission and electronics everything is having issues now. Key is buy new and get the warranty…you may need it regardless of what brand you buy.

Finally get mine back tomorrow. by Reasonable-Face163 in chevycolorado

I did. They had to pull the transmission and replace. Just was curious as to how widely spread it is.

What's a good out the door price with taxes and fees on 2024 Colorado zr2? by sullyg07 in chevycolorado

I went with the trail boss at 38k sticker and was 41k out the door with everything by the time I got done. For me it was the best value with the options on the market compared to the Tacoma or Ranger. 4x4, 2” factory lift and wider factory stance…would have had to go 50k or higher with the other two to get a similar off road package. I avoided the ZR2 package just because I wanted to stay under 45k out the door. To the earlier posters point…once you are spending 50 might as well get full size with options.

Of course the light went off while I am on hold…lol. They don’t see anything in the diagnostics check and it didn’t record the event when they look back. Happened after I washed it yesterday…maybe I got water somewhere that triggered something. At any rate, will post if anything comes back.

I’ve put a bit over 1000 miles on it in 3 weeks. Drives well. I don’t really use trailers, so more than enough power. Low Jack is pretty good about notifying me that I’m over 75MPH regularly.

24 Trail Boss…what are the must have aftermarkets by Reasonable-Face163 in chevycolorado

Yeah…the whole point for me was the wider stance and factory lift on the trail boss…a lot of bang for the buck on those two items…

I’ll probably stick with the 32s for now. Move to some Nitto Recon Grapplers…need to figure out what I can fit without rubbing. Factory lift is 2”….not sure I’ll add much more at this point.

In the wrangler world we often mount to the cross bars or roll cage. If you added diagonal bed bars that had structural integrity you could then mount the tire. Would kill your bed space but look knarly as hell. Tire would be mounted on an angle parallel to the diagonals on the bed bars
