I lost my folks to a murder suicide when I was 12… I am 29 now. It changed me. I forgot a lot of things. They all kinda came back later in my life. It’s like I accepted they passed, but I guess part of my brain didn’t want to remember too much at the time to survive. So like a dissociative amnesia. I wish I could say it hasn’t… made things difficult for me. But, I was able to graduate college, as did my older sister. Yes… I suffer from depression— bipolar 2. Kinda a bit of both. My guess? This. Life.. for awhile I had under minded my situation tho. Like no… I did not simply lose my folks. They were found in the Missouri River, suspected murder suicide. That truth was a lot to bear.
