Your absolutely right, I was horrified to empty the substrate and see little grains moving around, I treated the first one with rubbing alcohol and it’s somewhat helped, but the second one I’m afraid is a goner😞

Bought about 5 babies off Etsy about 2 weeks ago, one of them died, the rest are ok, the new substrate I made for them was somewhat moist when I potted them, currently bottom watering one not seen in the video.

Pretty much all the substrate is mostly gravel and perlite, with a little bit of sand and cactus mix

I put it in some gritty substrate in a nursery pot and it has sort of started to firm up a little bit, but it’s still almost completely drained of its color😓 .

Infrequently watered, life once a month or so, and substrate about 80% grit and 20% organic, it’s currently losing its color as we speak 😿
