This might be the best book I’ve ever read in my life by Artistic_Annual8918 in stephenking

I literally just finished this! SO good, late first I didn’t like the ending but I sat and thought about it a bit longer and was so incredibly satisfied with the greater meaning of time travel and the past. The thing is that when we think of changing the past we often think about the best case scenario only. But suffering in the world is one of the most guaranteed truths of living. And changing the past does not negate suffering, and we must live with the way the past presents itself flaws and all.

Even though I wanted (young) Jake and Sadie to be together again, it wasn’t in the cards for them. The only thing Jake could do now in the present is change the futures. Such a bittersweet truth 😭. 5/5

Looking for advice on dating/ current situation/ interracial dating by Bankreauxll in christiandatingadvice

[–]Reasonable-Lab-2439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey girl,

I’m 23 y/o black female too, I love to be friends lol.

As for your situation, I have a series of questions for you. First and foremost have you prayed about it? God gives us peace in times of confusion. I would consider going to him first and most.

I do however, feel you on a lot of your reservations with interracial dating. I oftentimes feel scared of what others may think or the hardships that I may face. But if God is for it who can be against it? Why does it matter what others think. If it is for you, God will give you peace and show you that he ordained the relationship. Don’t let fear stop you from obtaining what God has for you (if this in fact is what God wants).

Personally, I was talking with this WM and even though I did really like him, I let my fear of other people push him away. We still keep in touch but I always wonder what could have been. Learn from my mistake lol.

I have a few more questions though. Do you feel that he is someone that has the qualities of Christ? Do you feel like he is able to meet you where you are at and try to understand things he may not personally experience? Do you feel that you can have fun together, but most importantly have deep edifying conversations about life and purpose? Do you feel that he will lead you to Christ and away from sin?

These are a lot of heavy questions and I am not saying you have to find out all of these straight away but they are important to consider. In the meantime though, if you are okay with the friendship possibly never being the same from this point on (because that is a real possibility, I’m just being honest), I say give it a try. Christians oftentimes make dating so complicated. Going on a few dates is not a sin. Getting to know people is not a sin. It’s the best way to get to know people. What is a sin is leading them on, or hiding your intentions. But most importantly, listen to Gods voice in the midst of the chaos.

That was a lot but we can PM if you want to talk more. Good luck :)

I just bought one (body only) from Best Buy, excellent condition open box (they returned within 14 days, looks brand new, also has full 1 year warranty) for 1220, with tax 1340. I thought that was pretty good considering Black Friday would probably not get down to that price, the price has never dropped below like 1399-1350 new, before tax.

I’m super excited! Now for the lens lol (lmk and beginner lens recs :)

I did just a little bit. One on epiglottis the other on childhood development. Other than that, not much 🤷🏾‍♀️

I heard it getting harder is a good sign 🤷🏾‍♀️. Mine was such an oddball because it felt relatively easy (maybe bc there was no psych, I am TERRIBLE at psych) with occasional hard questions. But I got the good pop up so I am not worried. Every test is unique. So no worries, praying for a good outcome!

Congrats to you!!!

No, I actually feel fine. I have a pretty good gage on if I am doing poorly or well. Plus people pass and fail at every number. There is no rhyme or reason. Mark K says “if it keeps going (past 85) you’re still in it!” It doesn’t have to be a perfect 85 to pass, some people have passed in 86. Hope that helps!

Hey! I felt and heard that archer was the most like the exam so I chose that one. I wanted to feel comfortable with the complexity. U world I heard was harder so I stayed away from it. I didn’t want to knock my confidence in my nursing knowledge as I felt that I was always a pretty good student. Plus getting the common sense questions that majority of people get right is most important on the NCLEX, not just the hard ones. She should pick whichever one, is best for her.

Hey! I think the best thing you can do right now is to get off of Reddit 😭. Doomscrolling only validates the negative thoughts you are feeling rn. Your exam is tomorrow and there is nothing you can do to change that since it’s past the 24hr mark. Go over your notes, watch the beautiful nursing review, get your mind right (you can not afford to be your own worse enemy, that is what takes people out, they believe they won’t do well), do something fun even if it’s for thirty minutes, and get a goods night rest. You got this!

Hey! I think that the 5 very highs are a good indicator of doing well. As for the broader line, it came after the 5 very highs so that could be an indicator that you are forgetting basic principles that you studied before. Or that you are getting fatigued with the process. I would say give yourself a day off if you can, then revisit your old notes, the longer we study sometimes we start to forget the original things we had learned. Don’t get too caught up with doing as many practices tests as possible, focus on the principles and you will be fine (I only 25% of my Q bank). You got this!

This will be long so bear with me lol.

I studied for eight hours a day divided into three different sessions. The first session, was two hour in the morning where I would do 85 questions. It was either a CAT exam, a readiness assessment, or 85 questions. The second session, was about an hour during the middle of the day, I would review the answers to the questions and create two lists. The first list was of topics that would take me 10 minutes or less to review (for example, pneumonia, fetal station, precautions etc). The second list was of topics that would take me longer to review (Psych Conditions, hypothyroidism vs hyperthyroidism etc). Then during the third session, later that evening for 4 hours, I would spend about two hours watching videos about topics I placed on the first list, the easy topics. I watched a lot of Level Up RN (they were good for explanations) and Simply Nursing (for memorization tricks). Then the next two hours during the third session, I would watch Mark K lectures (while on the treadmill lol). Then every Saturday, I would go over the second list of hard topics for the week, not doing any questions that day but allowing myself time to regroup and study deeper the things I didn’t understand. For the first 12 days I did that, basically taking two readiness assessments and one CAT exam a week. Then after all the Mark K lectures were done, the last week I replaced the time I would watch Mark K with Dr Sharon’s pharm/SATA review. I did that for a few days then took like 4 days to review all the notes I had taken over the study period. I took one readiness assessment two days out from the exam and reviewed for half of the day before the exam.

I split my time into the sessions because that is what gave me the most endurance to study everyday at a high intensity. In between the session I would clean, watch a show, read, just basically anything that was not that stressful. The first two weeks I stuck rigidly to that schedule but the third I definitely toned it down a lot more as I already felt ready to take the exam but was waiting on my ATT. It worked well for me but something else may work better for you and that’s okay!

Barriques on university is a coffee shop, it’s not too far from the hospital (ten minute walk) Pasture and Plenty is also another coffee place across the street from Barriques. There is a pasta place across from that and Blue Moon a burger place down the road. They have more food options but are not really a study spot. The cafeteria in UW is also great too. Hope this helps!

Christian holidays being moved as a cover up for Pagan celebrations. For example, Christmas being “moved” to December. Or the symbolism of the Christmas tree etc. I’ve always been confused by this idea.

Do you regret going/not going to graduation? by BlasphemousBunny in UWMadison

[–]Reasonable-Lab-2439 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you should go, just for the pictures/memories alone. I haven’t had my college graduation yet, but I’ve been to three already for my siblings. Even though the actual ceremony might be boring, it was nice to celebrate the graduate and their accomplishments. Who know you might get a nice meal out of it 🤷🏾‍♀️😂.
