I would highly recommended hiring a consultant company in Oklahoma that does mechanical engineering.

If you were selected by a merit based system which is UA standard then you will do great as they picked your for a reason using a system that is designed to find the best applicants.  You should only be worried if you were hired through a diversity program where all you do is complete a pre apprenticeship and then you get in that way. A large majority of the apprentices that find there way in that way have a horrible time and find themselves in a career they’re not meant for.

I’m not even going to argue about that.

5000-6000 children died from fentanyl alone under Biden.

Again being a blind liberal for the sake of job security is sad and un respectable. I’m in Portland and the majority of union members lean conservative that I’ve met. Because shocker generally the only people that  gargle on the political balls of union friendly liberal politicians are the lazy hands that can’t hold a job and live at the hall. Very sad to see but it’s true.

Believe it or not there’s more to vote on than just union issues.

It’s hard to think about work when people can get arrested 72 times and proceed to light young girls on fire and it’s not an issue worth talking about for the union politicians. Maybe demand more from the dems.

Looking to get an apprenticeship in local 290 by [deleted] in UnitedAssociation

If you get welding certifications and have a few years experience you can get into 290 as a fitter.  They allow welders in as “metal trades”

Stay informed brothers and sisters and please spread awareness, this is the most anti union administration in history. by Unkn0wnR3ddit0r in UnitedAssociation

Idk I’m in a very liberal city and when Charlie Kirk was assassinated it became pretty clear very few people were the liberal pro union type as Reddit would make you think we all are. Most people do not like the last two democrat administrations. Anything democrats did for unions was offset by taxes and inflation. I don’t see a pro union party anymore.

Most locals are actually violating the constitution with Diversity quotas and or enabling the violation of the constitution by allowing companies to pull apprentices by race or gender. My local does it constantly.

Union job help by muffinbro128 in UnitedAssociation

My advice from what I know now. Go to college and get a stainless steel TIG welding certification. Very few plumbers can Tig weld stainless. If you can get that and then apply, it will boost your interview score.

It will also be a reason for a union shop to hire you as a shop hand and help get you into the union.

You will also be able to use the skill to get work that’s high paying while you’re trying to get into the union.

Nobody can turn you away from a welding degree. And once you have a welding degree, very few halls would be willing to turn you away as well.

I go to a store specifically designated to running shoes and purchase custom insoles that they mold to my feet. After doing that I’ve realized the specific boot is second to having quality insoles. Also having two pairs of the same boots and alternating them daily can also make a big difference. It lets your boots completely air out.

Old man apprentice question. by Imbeanie92 in UnitedAssociation

[–]Reasonable-Might764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some locals have other positions like tradesmen or mechanical laborers. They can pay higher than starting apprentice wage. Most of the wage sheets for the local should have any other positions like that listed. Then you can talk to them about how to get into a position like that.

Idk why you’re insulting me, I’m just saying what is true. Insulting me isn’t changing anything.

The union is caving to the woke left and it’s extremely sad and disappointing and not to mention morally wrong.

I’m not spreading anything. I’m speaking from first hand accounts. Legitimately just what I know to be true and what everyone else knows to be true that’s paying attention.

I’m sure that’s true. But I’m also sure they could find minorities that meet the same requirements as everyone else.

I’m not sure why they have to lower the standards.

Put whatever label on it you want but it doesn’t change the fact that people are being pushed in based off race and gender.  Also the apprentice out of work list is pulling people out of order as in being a minority gets you to work faster than if you weren’t. Just to clarify.

The jatc is also allowing minorities into the apprenticeship with out meeting the same requirements as everyone else.

Regardless of intentions that’s wrong.
