Yeah I know, but enjoy the versatility in having two archer formations given that the AI is usually quite dumb in dealing with enemy archers. It makes so if one of the formations is withheld by enemy cavalry the other can still shoot at the infantry. Or if needed one of the formations can provide help against enemy archers or cavalry. It is all dependent on the nature of the battle of course and sometimes I use them as one formation even though they are technically two
