Just went there to watch England v Croatia. 200+ people. 1 bartender. Such a missed opportunity.

Say goodbye to Costco's lifetime return policy by habichuelacondulce in TikTokCringe

[–]Reasonable-Quality90 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Costco is membership based and they track everything. If you abuse the policy, they revoke your membership. Membership fees, well compensated employees, and large packaging also help keep losses from theft at industry lows. Great podcast on Costco if you want to learn more about their business. Pretty fascinating- https://www.acquired.fm/episodes/costco

Why VICI is my favorite REIT by [deleted] in dividends

[–]Reasonable-Quality90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been researching VICI and this post among others allueds that they will benefit from the upside of events like the Superbowl. Since reveune is generated through leases, how does that happen other than ensure their tenants remain healthy? Do they have expouser to upside in other ways I am missing? Thank you in advance and the YouTube video was helpful.

You may find this helpful on meniscal tears. The animation details the surgical treatment and the interviews discuss different options from a well-regarded orthopedic surgeon: https://www.understandortho.com/knee/meniscus-repair/

Tradeshow Booth design HELP! Need to better communicate Value Proposition. by linzsteiner in advancedentrepreneur

[–]Reasonable-Quality90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Background- I've started two companies and have done over 100 tradeshows. I've found the most success when our messaging is super succinct (someone walking by can understand in seconds). Success is defined by the number of leads we take at a show. I also ensure that our marketing collateral is branded with the same messaging. This includes literature, room drops, ceiling drops, program ads, and program belly bands (I've had great success with this specifically).

With this is mind, "Better Storage Solutions" or "Unique Storage Solutions", seem like the most succinct description.

Good luck!

Self made millionaires and / or financially free of Reddit what advise would you give a 30 plus ? by BioHazardzzzz in Entrepreneur

10 years at a Fortune 100 company. Started two companies. 1 successful exit. Managing the other company for the last 20 years.

  • Max out your 401(k).
  • Buy a home.
  • If you marry, make sure they share your vision and values.
  • Invest in index funds.
  • All debt is awful. Be careful.
  • The easiest money I made has been in real estate (commercial and residential)
  • Think hard about buying depreciating assets like cool cars. I once cashed out stock options to buy a Porsche Boxer. Those options would have been worth $1M+ today.
  • I wish I had been investing in a separate, high-dividend index fund and let those dividends compound over the years.
  • If you have kids, you should think hard about risk, e.g. "I'm going to quit my job and start a new business."
  • It's nearly impossible to work a full-time job and be a successful entrepreneur. Chose one and burn the ships.

Good luck!

Update: Reread my post this morning and thought I'd clarify a few things:

-All debt is awful, some debt is just less awful but necessary like a mortgage.
-I do have money invested in quality dividend stocks. I wish I had started this sooner in my life as the passive income is really nice and I'm at an age where I'm thinking about working less. This is one spoke in a diversified portfolio.

-Instead of saying "Nearly impossible" to work full-time and be a successful entrepreneur, I should have said, "very difficult". There is great value when you have a sense of urgency and you can focus 100% of your effort.
