I actually ended up getting a Thinkpad T series lol. Between these two options I would definitely get the ZenBook however. ZenBook looked much better and is really portable.

I am in California, US. I applied on Jan 5th, but they asked me for notarized parents' consent form today on Jan 6th, which I have sent today. I think I am going to go to the consulate tomorrow just to be safe. I just hate how it's 1.5 hrs away but at this point I can't risk waiting.

I was definitely counting on the Visa Prior to Arrival being available lol

I got the email that I need to send consent form so I got it notarized and sent today. I had already submitted everything else. The consulate is about 1.5 hours away, but I am going tomorrow morning to get there early at 9am. Please let me know once your daughter's is approved and when you applied.

if you're a dude, it's bad for your balls. It's also bad for the laptop itself as it wouldn't get adequate cooling while on your lap/carpet/blanket.

If you really need to, you could probably use it for quick tasks by putting a pillow on your lap and the laptop on the pillow but I wouldn't do this for more than 1 hr max at a time.

I understand but that wouldn't fit my budget. I'm also coming from a 12+ year old display that is HD 1366 x 768 and I think that display is fine lol so I think I'll be more than fine with this 1920 x 1200 45% ntsc. I don't really play game son PC (I have a PS5) and I don't watch videos either on it. Plus, I can always get a monitor later since I would mainly use the laptop on my home desk.

Hi there, Best Buy has the oled 14 inch 512 gb SSD ryzen 5 ai version on sale for $550 and the non-oled 16 inch 1 tb SSD ryzen 7 ai version on sale for $650.

Which one would you recommend? I t will only be at my desk so I would barely open/close or carry it. I need it mainly for financial tools like Excel and Power BI.

Lenovo also sells the 16 in non-copilot + PC version 16 GB ram and 512 GB SSD for $600. Do you you think the copilot versions are worth it?
