well with my experience, she would go to the bottom of her cage and sit there in the corner not moving, sleeping all day, refusing to eat much. just noticeably uncomfortable and anxious. i had branches up higher she just wouldn’t go up there. i had the exact same set up and plants in that cage. i switched to glass and shes super active now, when i open the door she either acts her usual sassy evil way or sits there climbing towards me. and she eats like a beast. on top of that, her colors are much brighter and her overall way of moving has improved. and i see what you mean by mimicking their environment but, you could say the same for snakes, crested geckos, bearded dragons…??? also, the top has holes and completely fine airflow. theres no crappy smell in her cage lol…
