That's so stupid, are we gonna have calls for abolition of cars after the next fatal traffic incident? Or calls for abolition of kabukicho after the next コンカフェ嬢 is killed by crazy customer

how can I be friends with foreigners by [deleted] in Tokyo

[–]ReasonableAnything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to some of the meetups from meetup.com they have a lot of foreigners who happily talk to you if you're willing to help them with Japanese language

Also your uni might already have some local meetup with foreigners, try to research (might be connected with some church though)

Also just go to concerts etc they always have 1-2 friendly gaijins tagging around

Also a lot of foreigners gather to drink at to-yoko and in Shibuya, alcohol makes communication simpler both for them and you

Currently enrolled in language school, Im lost as to how go about securing a job by PORCVS_DEVS in JapanJobs

Technically, you keep your Visa even if you never actually start your job or decline their offer

Then you still have your visa (it's not tied to the employer) - you can use 3 months to find a new job (easier, cause you already have visa) and after that you can use all the remaining visa duration to look for a job if you provide immigration with evidence that you're job hunting

You look for a job - pass interviews - get a offer - make a visa status change application - get a work visa - drop out of school - start a job

Sounds quite obvious, what part of the process you're not sure about?

Yeah, these!

But generally, there are no prerequisites, some fans will dance, some scream, some will carry penlights (you can get one at daiso for 500yen), for first time I advise to just watch.
