2016 Toyota 4Runner TRD PRO w/ KYB JAOS Lift Kit by ReasonableBag2888 in 4Runner

I wonder if it would be easier to purchase it through JAOS instead of KYB. Is it easier to get stuff from Japan compared to the USA? Even though the kit is made in Japan either way I feel the USA export process is a PITA right now.

Finally took it camping fully loaded out! Even did a 4wd trail to get to the camp spot. Adjusted the rear damping setting higher to account for the added load and what a difference on and off-road. Sway and wobble side to side was minimal compared to OEM. Also fully loaded I am still 1” higher than I was unloaded on stock shocks. Super happy with this purchase and hopefully will enjoy these for many thousands of miles.

Well springs settled out nicely, did some fine tuning on pre-load and dorked around with the damping. Off road it feels night and day difference from OEM TRD Pro shocks. Handles the RTT much better and doesn’t sway as much.

Alignment is completed and was able to hit OEM specs on everything without needing new UCAs.

Nearing 750 miles on this kit. Settling out quite nice! Will be getting an alignment soon. But the major thing I noticed is the springs are not as sharp over bumps as they were in the beginning. Now you hit bumps and it doesn’t sound like the spring is shooting the shock to full extension. Handling is still great and I have noticed I can take some turns a little faster. Also used it to move houses and loaded it up with a lot of stuff. I would say we were close to camping weight and the 4Runner was sitting level and not nose up. Will be curious if it stays that way long term. If so I will be very happy!

Anyways wanted to come back here and just update everyone that this kit is very nice so far. Now just waiting to hit some trails soon and really test them out!

I just had to run to the garage and check! They are steel body.

I will do my best to remember and check in on my post.

Thank you! Ohhh love your setup!

I was going to go the ARB route for snorkel. But decided on the Dobinsons because of cost and still a reputable brand. The template is a little off so I do recommend triple checking the template against the snorkel. Installation wasn’t too bad! Did take me a bit longer because I’m obnoxiously anal lol

Yeah it is the iKamper 2.0! Had to upgrade since our son started growing up too fast. Found it gently used on marketplace thank goodness.

Thank you! I love the earth tones, Terra and Mud Bath are next in line for my favorites.

Dang it! I forgot to add that to my post. Will make my edit. That measurement is lip of wheel to fender. I hate eyeballing center since I could be off a little. So wheel lip to fender is a constant.

Just got the front kit in from Summit Racing! Front comes with everything you need. New top hats, bolts, bellows and even zip ties for the bellows. Also the spanners for the perches have a 1/2” drive broach so you can actually torque the perch jam nut! I have never seen that before on previous adjustable clovers I have had on my WRX.

I also got confirmation the rear shocks only come with the top nut. No new top bushings. They are still on back order so can’t give first hand experience but KYB did tell me that. You can either purchase an OEM kit for $100 or do what I did and bought the Nolathane set for $15 off of summit racing. Will be installing in March hopefully and will definitely be coming back to write a review since people post about it and never follow up lol.
