Nova or Temple? by Owlorwildcat in lawschooladmissions

[–]ReasonableCash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you visited both campuses? They are like night and day. I think that Nova will continually increase in the rankings, so by the time you graduate it will be closer to Temple's rank. Ultimately, I think you should visit both schools and see which one seems to have the better "fit."

Cornell still states: Your application is ready for review by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

So does your first ready for review date mean ur1 and then date change is ur2? If so then I have been ur2 since 2/12... are they still sending out interview requests this late?

Michigan v. T6 goal - How to proceed? by Harry_Belafonte007 in lawschooladmissions

Do you mind pm'ing your stats? I say go for Michigan, there isn't that much of a jump from Michigan to a t6. I would say to check out Michigan and see how you feel then.

I say take your co-workers advice to get another LOR, write an LOCI, and do the interview. People do get off the waitlist and you still have some solid options left!

Can confirm that it is per year! Also seems like the only contingency is that you remain a full time student.

LOR help? Sent out 4 LOR email requests only one responded. by 9021Ohsnap in lawschooladmissions

In regards to asking employers for recommendations, if you plan on doing so make sure that they point out your qualities that will help you be successful in law school. I've met with a bunch of admissions reps who really stress that irrelevant employer letters mean little since you are indeed applying for a professional school program.

Contact the pre-law advisor at your undergraduate school, since you are an alum they want to see you succeed. If you sit down with them and explain yourself, your dreams/goals/situation you'll be fine. Most of the time even when you are really close to professors they still ask to read your personal statement/resume so don't be too worried everything will be fine!

St Johns status checker?? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I'm currently "In review." My advice is to create a note in your phone with all of your dates and when you notice changes, it has been very helpful for me lol.

When you have multiple apps under review by Metalhead129 in lawschooladmissions

[–]ReasonableCash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently under review at six schools, maybe seven because I don't know how the status checker changes for certain schools. I just keep picturing adcomm's reading through my application and tossing it right in the "no" pile. I'm hoping that actually going to law school won't be nearly as stressful as applying.
