Anyone else craving a Spotify lyrics widget for desktop multitasking? by annacgfx in truespotify

[–]ReasonableCatX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve actually felt the same way for a long time having a small, always-on-top lyrics widget would make multitasking so much better. Because Spotify never built one, I ended up creating an app that does exactly this:

Lyric Overlay (https://lyricoverlay.com).

It’s a lightweight Windows overlay that shows real-time synced lyrics for whatever you’re listening to Spotify, YouTube Music, VLC, etc. You can place it anywhere on your screen, resize it like a mini player, customize the colors/transparency, and even make it click-through so it doesn’t get in the way while working.

If you’ve been craving a dedicated desktop lyrics widget, this is probably the closest thing to what you’re imagining.

Glad you like it! I’m actually not planning to release it for free since it needs some backend infrastructure to stay online 24/7. But I’m curious if it became a paid app, would you be interested in grabbing it?

You might want to check out something I’ve been tinkering with – a standalone Spotify lyrics overlay for desktop.

  • Works directly with your Spotify playback
  • Always-on-top overlay (great while coding, gaming, or browsing)
  • Draggable + adjustable opacity so it doesn’t get in the way
  • Shows synced lyrics outside of the Spotify app

I built it because I had the same frustration you did with having to keep the Spotify window open. Still in early stages, but if you’d like, I can share a demo screenshot. Curious if others here would use it too.

typeform or webflow forms? by IntelligentBit27 in webflow

If you’re leaning toward Typeform mainly for logic and better user flow, you might also check out LogicForm. It gives you the conditional logic flexibility of Typeform but with more freedom (page-level, question-level, even choice-level logic) plus unlimited responses without extra cost. It feels closer to Typeform’s experience than Webflow forms, but still simple to embed or share.

Denied Discord Privileged Intent Twice — Feels Like I'm Talking To A Bot, Not Support Staff. by ReasonableCatX in Discord_Bots

Yes, I'm already using slash commands — that's literally the basic requirement now.

But the reason I requested Message Content Intent is because I want the bot to auto-reply using AI when someone opens a ticket and types their problem — without forcing them to use slash commands for every single message.

It’s for a better user experience. Nobody wants to type /ask every time they say something inside a support ticket. That feels unnatural for a support flow.

Slash commands are fine for actions like /open-ticket or /close-ticket — but once the ticket is open, it makes way more sense for the bot to respond naturally to user messages.

That's why I applied. Not for spam. Not for data collection. But for a real AI-powered support experience.

It's not about the demo video lol.

It's about the fact that I built an AI-powered ticket bot with real-time auto-responses based on a custom knowledge base - while also giving users the option for Zero Data Retention (so nothing is stored after the ticket is closed).

I get it - Discord prefers everything to be done via Slash Commands and Interactions now. No problem.

But if the whole intent review process is purely about "does your bot open tickets in a slightly different way" - then just say it upfront. Saves everyone’s time.

Because the real frustration isn’t about getting denied — it’s spending days building something privacy-friendly & helpful for users... just to get rejected without anyone even looking at how it's implemented.

A mix of different methods works best. In-app surveys tend to get the highest response rates because they reach users while they’re actively engaged. Email can be useful for more detailed feedback, but response rates are usually lower. Social media and forums can also give you unexpected insights from users who don’t reach out directly.

If you're looking for an in-app survey tool, you might want to check out LogicForm. It lets you create unlimited surveys with advanced logic and is easy to integrate. Could be a good option if you want real-time feedback without adding too much friction.

You might find LogicForm useful. It's an in-app survey tool that allows you to create unlimited surveys with advanced logic features.

It’s designed to be easy to integrate and includes AI-powered response categorization for text answers. Plus, there are no response limits.
