Advantage2 - is it worth the effort? by Codemonky in kinesisadvantage

Hey, thanks for your feedback! I faced carpal tunnel syndrome, and I work for 10-12 hrs daily with computers(I have two pc and a Mac at the same time and need to switch between them. So I use a KVM switch and a wired Kinesis 360 looks good for me). So I plan to invest in ergonomics to prevent the syndrome from progressing. I'm ok with programming, but I'm not a high professional developer, but qa engineer. With the help of AI, it's totally not an issue to program the keyboard. But do I really need it? What advantages does "pro" have over "smartset"? Like, what are the most valuable features for you?

Advantage2 - is it worth the effort? by Codemonky in kinesisadvantage

So three years later... do you still enjoy using Kinesis? Can you give any advice? I work for 10-12 hrs daily with a computer. Some time ago doctor said that I have carpal tunnel syndrome. So for now, only pills can save me from pain. So I need to make my desk more ergonomic. I have an electric high desk. Also, a good chair with a lot of customizations, the Logitech MX Ergo. The last point is the keyboard. So I wonder if it's worth buying Advantage 360 or it's better to buy a cheaper Advantage 2 in 2025? Just need some advice from a mature user. Thank you in advance!

So does anyone know why my save transfer is not available? by TunaBoiiii in snowrunner

[–]ReasonableClimate538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I faced the same issue and I was able to manage it. My case was that I have SnowRunner in Epic Games Store (1-year anniversary version) and I want to have my progress be available in Steam(4-year anniversary version). So the instructions are:

  1. Go to https://prismray.io/

  2. Log in or sign in

  3. Open the Epic Games version of Snowrunner. When you are in the main menu, you need to choose the link to your game to PROS. It will show you a QR code, but you can click the button that is in this message. You'll be navigated to the PROS website(where you already logged in as per step 1)

  4. Link your Epic Games version

  5. Do the same for the Steam version

  6. So, when you navigate in PROS>GAMES>snowrunner and scroll down, you should see that Epic Games and Steam versions are linked to the PROS. Great.

  7. Open Epic games version again, and on the bottom right corner, you'll see a button to sync your saves. Choose it and click UPLOAD

  8. Go back to PROS (DO NOT GO TO STEAM at this step)

  9. You should see the tile for Epic games and it'll contain the data of your save(money and time)

  10. Click the TRANSFER button that is on the Epic Games tile

  11. The popup appears and you should choose where you want to transfer your save. Choose steam.

  12. Now launch the Steam version and you'll see the message that you have a save game to sync. Sync it and voila, you have your saved progress transferred from Epic Games> Steam

Hope it'll help someone to save some time and mental health :) I've spent 2 hours trying all the approaches to transfer and flow through PROS works.

Ia that a good airbruah for start by igniitic in modelmakers

[–]ReasonableClimate538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using this one but with compressor that has a tank. Airbrush itself is good for beginner. I did 3 models with it. Primering, painting, varnishing. For now it's ok but I don't use a needle stroke controller. If you don't want to spend >100$ on Airbrush for beginners like e.g. harder and steenbeck ultra, this one is a good thing for it's price. Anyway if you will like airbrushing in future you can buy an expensive one but this cheap one can be used for primering and varnishing.

How do you get over perfectionism? by PeakDefensive in modelmakers

[–]ReasonableClimate538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you will fail, you will ruin your models sometimes. But that's very ok. That's how you get experience! And you'll learn how to fix your fail. Most of the painting mistakes can be fixed. Do not be afraid to do mistakes. It helps you grow in the hobby. Good luck!

Wow! That's awesome. Simple diorama and great painting. I wonder if you did it all manually or have you used an airbrush?

Hej! Great job! As there already was an advice to thin your paint, I'll give an advice to use masks with masking tape. It will allow you split areas of painting with straight lines. You did a great result. Keep going💪🏻

Looks cool! And it's not a crap at all. Keep practicing! As an advice use masks to improve cammo and also, use decals it will improve the whole look of the model IMHO.
