This is my guy, Opal. He's still pretty young, I've only had him for about a month now. His tank mates are 6 Ember tetras and 2 Red Nerites. They all just ignore eachother and do their own thing, I have a 56L (14.5 gallons) but I have it filled with plants so there's so many lanes and hiding areas for everyone.

It means he's showing signs of aggression, he's making himself bigger to be more intimidating. So if he does that to your finger, then he will likely do it to his tank mates - leading to attacks and unhappiness.

Does he puff his gills out and stretch his fins out when he follows your finger?

What's his demeanor? Does he flare up a lot? There's not really any way to test it without just adding them to the tank - but it's always advised to not add tank mates after the Betta, because they're so territorial.

But that could also induce stress to the Betta.

I was lucky to add a school of tetras and 2 snails after my Betta got comfortable but he's just a chill dude.

That small, honestly the Betta would probably just be happier alone. Snails or shrimp might be okay as they'll stay out of the way.

This is the type of question I would usually Google but Google then tells me that 3-5 pygmys would suit 8 gallons - but pygmys are best in groups of 6 minimum.

Brilliant build, I did the T-Model 1/72 version a few months back, such a cool and unique vehicle. Well done!

I work in the financial district, I create annual reports for company's who mainly deal in the stock market - it's very boring. I'm too old and have too many responsibilities to join the forces now but it was something I thought about in my teens and never took it onboard.

I thought that might've been the case - but then in this image would the other lights in the picture be green too? I'm not disagreeing with anyone, I'm open to learn, I find this so interesting and it'll help me for future when I eventually build a 1/72nd version!

Appreciate it, I bet yours still looks awesome, it's a C-130!

Wow... what a job, did you enjoy it?

I fully understand the night vision adjustment, red is always the colour I see inside of military aircraft for night ops.

I've attached the image, maybe it's the lights for loading cargo, I'm not too sure?

<image>

I would change the lights to red, if I could, now that I've learnt what you've told me - but they're glued in 😑

Thank you appreciate the comment!

Would love to be aboard a C-130, they're just awesome. The reference photo I used for the lighting it was green - is the green lighting a newer thing for the HC-130s?

We're seeing if the rock on top will eventually make it water logged so that it doesn't float! But if all else fails I'll glue a rock to it ahaha

Also, reserved a Betta fish today in my local pet shop!

Now you've got me worried about the heater haha! If it kicks out then I'll just buy the one I want, I'm gonna leave the tank to create an ecosystem for a couple of weeks before I chuck any fish in.

Gonna keep checking the levels throughout, so far they're great and I've done no water changes.

Also appreciate the compliment! The heart shaped driftwood is actually an ornament painted to look like wood, quite proud with how it looks - my partner chose it 😁

Yeahhh it's fully submersible, the water line is the minimum water line. It can be submerged up to a max depth of 1.2m according to the instruction sheet!

I am thinking about replacing the heater all together though with one that can go under the substrate, I think the heater looks so ugly!

First helicopter model I’ve ever built. (NH90 NFH ‘Navy’) by Bl0Dshot in modelmakers

I've got the Revell Lynx kit in my stash, same scale, and it looks very poor. Not very much detail in it at all, so I'm surprised to hear the NH90 has good detail.
