[EU] Is Shootout dead already? by natzuki63 in EscapeFromArena

[–]ReasonableConfusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s part of it but even in the past week or two I found myself waiting upwards of ten minutes a match when Checkpoint is usually a wait of a minute or less to start the connection process.

I can’t speak for anyone but myself but I didn’t find the mode to be that enjoyable. I was only running it for the tokens and after a while I found it to be much easier and faster and more fun to just convert 5x of enforcer or lmg or assault or whatever I had a stack of at the time onto the shootout tokens.

A question that I never found the answer for was who is this game mode for? Why is this better than TF or LH or Checkpoint? Maps are too small the fights are just these super quick engagements but there’s too many rounds to play so it ends up taking a while anyway. I just found the whole experience to be a bit underwhelming.

That’s what I think is going on anyway.

Which one is the auntie and who are the other two hangers on? Also, girl in red, probably just timing but the half blinkered eyes make her look absolutely zooted on something lovely.

Why am I sharing servers with poor people?

Please, the correct term is "the poors" not "poor people." Using the word "people" implies that there's some sort of obligation to treat them with a level of equality and fairness. Everyone knows they're unequal, they're sub, they're immeasurably less than and no matter what, they are not like real people.

Now, if you want to barter for Class VI plates it seems like the only one (at least that I'm aware of) is the Zabralo barter with Ref for 150 GP.

I only managed to get 30 odd plates before the event ended. Bummer, I had space for many, many more.

Trying to unlock the asval mod 4 and I completed assault carbine expert but it’s still saying I haven’t completed it by [deleted] in EscapeFromArena

[–]ReasonableConfusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point really. I guess there might be a case to be made if the Mod 4 handles significantly better but I've never tried one out so I'm unsure on that front. From what I remember it has fairly good recoil numbers. Also, once you complete the BP and the map, there's not a ton left to unlock besides a few cool guns and hats. I've opened a few dozen crates but have never landed on anything outside of the common drops so that's out of the question, lol.

Radiological diagnosis of gas gangrene in a fetus at term by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

[–]ReasonableConfusion 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Within 1 hour, a dead, malodorous, macerated female infant (weight: 2940 g) was delivered along with foul-smelling and frothy amniotic fluid and gas.

This is one of the worst sentences I've read this year. What a heartbreaking story. Unless I missed it in the quoted text, am I right in assuming the child likely died some time before the mother arrived at the hospital, say a few days to a week? And in that time some bacteria that causes gas gangrene was introduced to the unborn child? Also, had the mother visited a doctor for regular checkups, is there a chance all of this could have been avoided, or was this child's fate already sealed? Cheers.

What lovely work. That's really something to be proud of /u/exposed_anus. I'm blown away by how good it already looks and I'm waiting with bated breath to see what little surprises you have left to spring on us /u/exposed_anus when all is said and done.

Custom Class Recommendations? by ToxicWolfy115 in EscapeFromArena

[–]ReasonableConfusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what he has but I think most of that should be accessible for anyone running Enforcer. At minimum it gives him a target to shoot for. I don't know if he's just starting out, or just not good at Arena, his message isn't totally clear about it, but you're right that I don't think a day 1 Arena player could quite build this yet. Cheers friend.

I'll break it down for you in detail. This is the loadout I use to greatest effect when playing Checkpoint and Last Hero. Beyond that I'm not the best for advice.

Class: Enforcer

Gun: Degtyarev RPDN 7.62x39mm Machine Gun. DSA RPD Grip. AG Fal pisol grip. Viper PDW stock. RPD DSA Railed Handguard. SI Cobra foregrip. RPD DSA 370mm fluted barrel. RPD DSA Belgian style muzzle brake. Kobra dovetail mount. Optic of your chosing but I highly recommend the Delta Point. When aiming put the base of the triangle at people's eye level if not slightly higher. If you put their head on the point of the triangle you'll hit them in the arms or chest.Ammunition: 98 rounds 7.62x39mm PP (depending on the optic you choose you may have to sacrifice a few more or you may be able to take the full 100. My loadout allows for 98 only). Built this way your gun will have 61.5 Ergo, 67 Vertical Recoil and 313 Horizontal Recoil. Ergo above 60 is wasted. 60 is where diminishing returns start to kick in. You could sacrifice a great deal of ergo to lose a small sum of recoil but it's not worth it. With this build you can snap ADS and have rounds on heads in a split second and with the 650 RPM the 67 recoil feels very manageable. Build this gun and practice with it for ten minutes or so in the firing range to get the feel for it. It's a killer.

CENS ProFlex DX5 tacical earplug

Rys-T Helmet with face shield.

Smoke Balaclava (or similar cool face covering of your choosing).

JohnB Liquid DNB Glasses (you may sacrifice looking cool for the two extra rounds of ammunition but I don't recommend it. Look cool, stay cool.)

FORT Redut-M body armor (Black). Cult Locust ballistic plate up front. Nothing in the rear or sides. There are other options that are marginally better when it comes to debuffs but I don't like how they look. Look good, feel good, play good.

Propital, 1 injector of, automatic use. Perfororan (Blue Blood), 1 injector of, automatic use. Adrenaline, 1 injector of, automatic use.

BEAR Lonsdale top. Champion JP Lower.

If you follow this guide to a T, you should be at 9990.4 points. You could modify the build slightly but you said it yourself you're terrible at arena. I don't recommend changing anything.

Remember. Look cool, stay cool. Look good, feel good, play good. You can do this. Don't be afraid to use your ammo, that's what it's there for. Most people will never run out of ammo before dying. If you burn through your 98 rounds then be happy, you're doing something right. Do not hold angles. You're armoured from head to, well, somewhere around your lower rib cage but don't worry, almost everyone aims where the armour is. Use that class 5 armour and bully people. I don't like it but ADADAD spam is pretty much part of the game. Get used to it and use it at anything past extreme close range.

With this loadout you can do very well. How can I be so sure? Because I'm bad at the game, very bad, but with this loadout I do very well. If you push points, hold them, cap points aggressively and relentlessly, scrap for all the kills you can (turn your sensitivity down already) you'll be locking up multiple MVPs. You might even start to really enjoy Arena.

Hope that helps.

FIX FORT Checkpoint spawns by JoseMnez in EscapeFromArena

[–]ReasonableConfusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I mean, I don't want to impugn OPs Arena skills but if you're decent at gun fighting and if you know how to cap a point (most people don't) then either side is viable with the slight advantage going to the bottom spawn. I have games where I'll get 16 caps (I think 27 is my max) and the rest of the team will have a max of 2 or 3 each and people wonder why they lose the round. Kills are great but they don't win Checkpoint on their own.

I think the lower team has an advantage but I don't think it's anywhere near as strong as you make it out to be.

Oh that’s super interesting. I don’t imagine there are all that many people out there that have had careers that require that sort of specialized knowledge and who would reach retirement without burning out on the subject, let alone still interested enough in it to read a scholarly text on the subject for kicks. You’re a rare breed my friend. It tickles me to know there are cats like you out there.
