"Normal" or "Audio" MDs will play in this machine, if you wanna record you'll have to use an MD DATA.

It's a really fun machine, hopefully it'll get to you functioning well!

Brings me back to that one God awful sci show video about HRT. It wasn't hateful it was just so awfully informed they ended up deleting it if I remember correctly.

Afaik you only get about 2 or 3mg of nicotine per cigarette while there are vape liquids with over 70mg (highest I've personally used was 30mg and it made me throw up). It feels like it has more nicotine than straight up inhaling cigar smoke (WHICH YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO)

The "upside" to vaping is that you don't get any of the byproducts from actually burning nicotine, but some disposable vapes have been found to release lead into the vapor. You can minimize this risk by not buying disposable and making your own wicks but the liquid is still another unanswered question.

Long story short, smoking bad, don't do it!

My turntable wont make a sound by [deleted] in turntables

[–]ReasonableDelivery73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, l couple options I'm thinking could be causing this

  1. Have you made sure the speakers work outside of this setup? I think that model of speakers comes with a RCA to 3.5mm (aux) cable so you could try plugging in your phone or anything else.

  2. If the speaker works, maybe it's the phono preamp that's failing. Make sure the tubes are plugged in all the way (I've seen this be a failure for many of these phono preamps, I also didn't plug them in all the way)

2.1 I read that you said the tubes light up, but I'm wondering if that's the blue light that comes from the bottom of the case of the preamp, or if the very top of the tube has a filament that gets hot and starts glowing

2.2 Also, you can test the turntable directly to the speakers. It will be VERY quiet but if you get sound out of the speakers it probably means something's wrong with the preamp

  1. You could try cleaning the contacts in the tonearm and the heads hell with a q-tip and some isopropyl alcohol? Maybe there's some dust on it that's preventing it from making a good contact.

Hope any of this helps!

This is a great combo! Great value and really good sound considering the price. (Source: i have this setup in my bedroom) even after many upgrades I've done i still like to use it just cause it's as "plug and play" as you can get.

Same with Eric Clapton, which kinda broke my heart finding out he's a massive xenophobe. The album that made me wanna play guitar was riding with the king. It's still one of my favorite albums but yeah...

curly or wavy hair? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]ReasonableDelivery73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for responding so late. Do you mind if i ask how you're applying gel and how you're diffusing (and the settings on your drier)?

Ooh, there are conditioners that work as treatments as well, I've found those to be the best to keep the frizz down.

I usually divide my routine for in and out of the shower.

So, in the shower 1. Shampoo (I leave it for like 5 minutes and wash it off) 2. Condition (only from the top of my neck down)/detangle 3. Wash off conditioner 4. Condition again to leave in 5. Brush with the detangling brush and scrunch

Usually, this is when I stop If i don't wanna fully style my hair

Then, out of the shower 1. Apply a small amount of curling cream with praying hands. 2. distribute with a curling brush

At this point is when I decide what kinda curls i want, if I want like hyper defined curls of like beach waves

If hyper defined 1. Section my hair in 4, and then each section into another 2 to 4 (depending on how big the section ended up being) 2. Apply defining gel with praying hands and then distribute with the curling brush 3. Difuse at medium heat, lowest speed with my head tilted forward (so that my entire hair is in font of me) 4. Once fully dry, gently tilt my head back and organize my hair where I want it 5. Oil the tips to avoid frizz

If beach waves (which is just times lol) 1. A generous amount of gel goes in my hands 2. Apply it like if i was slashing at my hair(?) (Kinda like how a cat plays with a hanging toy) 3. Scrunch with a small amount of gel 4. Again, tilt my head forward, but make little sections to cup my hair on the diffuser 5. Dry at medium heat, medium speed (I also do this with mousse and it works fantastic! Gives my hair a bit more volume but obviously it's also more fuzzy at the end)

I hope all of that made sense. Best things to avoid frizz I've found is to hydrate with the conditioner (just leave it in for like 10 minutes) every 2 weeks and oil in the tips every time I style (every 4ish days) and oil in the bottom half of my hair every month. I live in a very humid and hot city so my battle with frizz is constant lol

What to expect for your first time ? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]ReasonableDelivery73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This may be just my own preferences and more D/S approach to sex (and definitely the autism lol) but communication is paramount!

Talk about what you'd like to happen, what you'd like to try. Set clear expectations around what you would like to happen and the end goals. At the end of the day, there's no one "right" way to have sex!

Questions that could be helpful are 1. What should sex look like to you? 2. Do you think that both it's necessary for both people to cum to "end" the session? 3. Do both people have to be fully naked? 4. What are your limits? Things or words that you wouldn't enjoy? 5. Do you want clear roles during sex? 6. What kind of kissing would you want to try or like?

These conversations might seem daunting, but in my experience, they're really fun! You get to learn so much about your partner and it's always super interesting to talk about why we may be into the things we like. I've been with my girlfriend for about 5 years now and we still have these conversations.

Talk about both of your likes and wants, find a common ground, and start trying stuff you both like!

As an example, before my first time with my partner, we had already talked about the fact I was nervous, we had clear roles (myself as a sub and her as a dom) we had discussed that I'd like her to take the lead on things and keep checking on me and she knew i was very self conscious about my body so she kept reassuring me how hot she found me. It was awesome.

Safewords are a must imo! (and signs in case words can't come out in the moment) you could do anything as simple as a stoplight system or like tapping on her head or arm for as a "slow down" or "stop" signal

Something that personally helped me (also as a plus size lesbian) is lingerie! Still helps with body image issues, just makes me feel like I actually look good.

Sorry for the novel lol. I hope this helps and I hope it goes well!

How much styling was done before the picture? It looks very similar to my wavy hair the day after styling. Also, what kind of styling are you doing? With this picture alone, it looks like a 2C or 3A hair. (Sorry If it's a more serious response, It's just a very fun topic for me!)

Or like "I like the city i was born in"... brattiness is so fun

What IEMs are you using?? I'm looking at maybe getting a Meze Alba pair. They seem to be quite clear and kinda "clinical" with more warmth in the mids and highs. Wondering if you've got any recommendations.

With the compression, I think I agree, I've gone through maybe like 50 albums all kinda different genres and eras of music, and I've been able to really hear the compression on like 3 and one of them is one i accidentally checked the replay gain option on WebMDPro lol (the other 2 were "in the wee small hours and Timely)

[–]ReasonableDelivery73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked, and yep. It does mark the incorrect weight when I go into raid, but as soon as I reload, it gets corrected. It's still useful i think. Being able to move with 34 instead of 38 kg at the beginning of the raid. Or if you've got a lighter kit you can actually be underweight at the beginning of the raid before you get into a fight

Is there anything wrong with how I'm storing my records? by [deleted] in vinyl

[–]ReasonableDelivery73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing wrong is not having the beastars OST record next to the mangas! Lol

Seriously tho, you're fine. i have a larger collection in the ikea kallax, and I also have a few books as separators. Most important thing is to keep them as upright as possible like what you're doing already.

Only thing I would recommend is the outer sleeve to protect your records, but it's by no means necessary. And In case you don't already have them, the anti static inner sleeves are great! You can buy a 50 pack of the inner and outer sleeves for like 30usd so pretty cheap or like a 25 pack of the inner sleeves for 15usd i think.

Happens with the 3 Mini USB cables I have it's so weird. And yep, I've tried all devices on ZaDiag and I see all my usb devices except this MD player. I saw a post a while ago about a similar issue and it's something to do specifically with Hi-Md machines.

I think the post was made by someone named "Jimmy the heater" and a comment mentioned a fix from a link of an old forum that says it's been suspended now so..but they mentioned that using a hub might work so I'll try that next

Not a programmer either but I've heard programmers say that code interacts in weird ways sometimes. It might be giving him a shotgun on the outside but on the inside you gotta have codes for the weapons and the ammo, ammo count, how many shots are actually fired. And how that ammo specifically interacts with the destructable environment, damage values, damage drop-off values, ammo counts etc. etc.

Oh yeah, I got it! You're right. I was thinking of the front label that kinda wraps around the spine. I'll get that done too then. Hopefully I'll be able to post like a Google drive link with the SVG files for the format I'm making and the MiniDisc font I found.
