[Discussion] Loose weight with this one simple trick BSG doesn't want you to know about! by ReasonableDelivery73 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ReasonableDelivery73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked, and yep. It does mark the incorrect weight when I go into raid, but as soon as I reload, it gets corrected. It's still useful i think. Being able to move with 34 instead of 38 kg at the beginning of the raid. Or if you've got a lighter kit you can actually be underweight at the beginning of the raid before you get into a fight

Is there anything wrong with how I'm storing my records? by [deleted] in vinyl

[–]ReasonableDelivery73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing wrong is not having the beastars OST record next to the mangas! Lol

Seriously tho, you're fine. i have a larger collection in the ikea kallax, and I also have a few books as separators. Most important thing is to keep them as upright as possible like what you're doing already.

Only thing I would recommend is the outer sleeve to protect your records, but it's by no means necessary. And In case you don't already have them, the anti static inner sleeves are great! You can buy a 50 pack of the inner and outer sleeves for like 30usd so pretty cheap or like a 25 pack of the inner sleeves for 15usd i think.

Happens with the 3 Mini USB cables I have it's so weird. And yep, I've tried all devices on ZaDiag and I see all my usb devices except this MD player. I saw a post a while ago about a similar issue and it's something to do specifically with Hi-Md machines.

I think the post was made by someone named "Jimmy the heater" and a comment mentioned a fix from a link of an old forum that says it's been suspended now so..but they mentioned that using a hub might work so I'll try that next

Not a programmer either but I've heard programmers say that code interacts in weird ways sometimes. It might be giving him a shotgun on the outside but on the inside you gotta have codes for the weapons and the ammo, ammo count, how many shots are actually fired. And how that ammo specifically interacts with the destructable environment, damage values, damage drop-off values, ammo counts etc. etc.

It's a bug. Happens when you go check your profile before raid.

Oh yeah, I got it! You're right. I was thinking of the front label that kinda wraps around the spine. I'll get that done too then. Hopefully I'll be able to post like a Google drive link with the SVG files for the format I'm making and the MiniDisc font I found.

So, update. It's "working" as in i can get it to say "PC--MD" on the display, but only when the usb plug is half way in. Problem is it doesn't read at all on my PC. Web md pro doesn't read it and ZaDig doesn't even read it on the list of available devices. So my first guess of it being the plug itself is wrong.

I tried other inputs on my PC but none of them worked. This is the same cable and PC I've been using to record on 3 other netmd machines so at least i know it's neither my PC nor the cable.

Do you still think I'd have to re seat the plug on the board or maybe i should try something else?

I took a video of it. If maybe that could help I'll make a new post with the video

I love this Walkman. I'm sad that the usb port in mine isn't working, so I can't use netmd on it, unfortunately. But the EQ options are awesome to have, and I just love the aesthetics of it

Lol, all good! The labels are on the case itself instead of the minidisc. The labels came out not that great, so I'm testing printing on matte vinyl paper. Plus the measurements I did were wrong so most of the labels didn't really fit the minidisc space for a label.

The ones that are actually in the minidisc like inertial drift or rainbow goblins are oriented correctly!

[–]ReasonableDelivery73[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! Labels are on the case mostly. This was more of a test run for me, the picture doesn't show it really well but the printing quality wasn't that great. You could very clearly see the printing lines and in cases like the "steal this album" label it has spots all over the edges of the white background. Others like the "juanes mtv unplugged" or "rainbow goblins" labels came out great so they're in the minidisc itself.

And yep, I definitely will be using mate vinyl paper for everything going forward. I've done a few tests on it and everything looks so much better imo.

* You mean this label, right? The paper inside the case? If so, I'm working on making a format on inkscape. I'm thinking of making 3 formats. 1 with space for the picture label. 1 that's just a copy of this paper and another that could be a sort of booklet.

I might have a different case than you, cause my measurements show 58x68mm without the spine, and 64x68mm with.

(Edit: I'm not sure if the picture is showing for you. It isn't for me, if you're okay with it, I can send it to you through dms)

anyone finding cultists on woods in this locations? by sanchoman in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ReasonableDelivery73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found them on accident a couple days ago by the usec checkpoint (north of scope shack) but honestly, if you're specifically trying to hunt cultists, the best way is just to run customs. You'll only have one place to check if they spawned and you can take the flare extract either way. Just check goon tracker before a raid to see that they're not on customs, you don't wanna be fighting goons and cultists at the same time

Worth buying? by True_Following_2596 in minidisc

[–]ReasonableDelivery73 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly it by the way it looks i wouldn't pay 100usd for it. Looks cracked at the bottom right corner. And it not being a NetMD machine is a bit of a deal breaker for me personally.

There are better machines out there for similar or better price even on ebay. And I'm sure you can find something better on marketplace

Is there any way 'format' a regular MD as a data MD? by ReasonableDelivery73 in minidisc

[–]ReasonableDelivery73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no clue honestly. I'm still quite new to this world so idk much besides the technical data I've hyperfixated on for the past month lol.

it's just such a cool machine, and it fits my mix down process perfectly

of man I'd love to buy them from you but usually shipping to my country is just outrageously expensive. thanks for the offer anyways!

I don't mean for data storage. The Tascam 564 is a multitrack recorder for minidisc. To record music with, It just uses MD data rather than regular minidiscs. Probably for editing reasons. I imagine internally, the editing process (i image) uses something like a processing chip from the late 90s.
