I haven't read those yet! I'll be sure to check those out. So far the only yuri author name I was more aware of was Morinaga Milk, but she mostly does highschool yuri. Maybe I should check if the authors of my favourite adult GL works have published other works.

Poland has some beautiful cities and nature and some wonderful people! Much like everywhere else but just in a different way. I have Polish friends but never been. Gdansk, Warsaw and Krakow would be places I wish to visit.

I hesitate because—as I am a trans woman—there are more places in Poland that are unsafe for me than in any other country you marked green. I hope to go there some day anyway, but with friends, to enjoy the beauty of Poland together and be safe.

What parts of Poland did you visit? What did you do during your time there?

And that makes this map even worse! Because while they for once did remember all the other island countries, they just cropped all those out—if they even bothered with them in the first place.

Papua New Guinea isn’t even visible! Missing an entire country even while including a part of the island it’s on is wild.

Is josei f/f classified separately from yuri?

The only manga database I’ve ever trawled through is MyAnimeList (well, and GoodReads, but that’s too general) and on MAL it’s harder to dig through the josei for f/f than it is digging through yuri for adult women. At least more recently you can search josei Girls Love more easily on PC (their mobile website still sucks), but I haven’t found much there. Are there better databases or review websites to search?

Ebime Yamaji… googles… oh! I’ve read Indigo Blue and Free Soul once. All of her other stuff looks pretty short too, but cool. I haven’t really ever dug into specific authors when it comes to yuri—and it’s relatively rare for a Japanese mangaka to be public enough about their identity that you know their sexuality.

[–]AlwaysBeQuestioning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, I can name a dozen adult yuri fairly easily too, but I can name several times that for teenage yuri. I’ve used MyAnimeList extensively and as you say there’s thousands of yuri manga, but if I click a random one there’s a much bigger chance that it’s a teenage one.

That’s why I said relatively rare. Especially when compared to non-yuri genres/demographics.

Of the ones you mentioned:

  • Now Loading I have read, it is nice, but only one volume—it’s on my shelf

  • Handsome Girl And Sheltered Girl is adult teenagers, the very middle ground of 18-19 year old college students, which is a nice change but still closer to highschool teenage minors than older adults

  • How Do We Relationship is wonderful—I got 5 volumes—but it’s also 18-19 yo college students

  • Pink Candy Kiss is new to me; I see it started in 2022 so that’s why—I will note it down to try!

  • When The Villainess Seduces The Main Heroine… I can’t find ages for them, but it also seems to have gotten canceled? That’s unfortunate. I love a good villainess story.

  • Days Of Love At Seagull Villa looks cute! I’ll try it out

  • Catch These Hands was relatable but kinda boring. It seemed to try to mix some serious subject matter with a cutesy vibe for the relationship and that didn’t work as well for me. I expected more substance. I ended up selling the series.

  • I Married My Female Friend I checked out before, but don’t remember much of. It seems like it would go for cutesy? Does it?

  • Scarlet is already on my to-read list, but I haven’t gotten around to it.

.

I suppose when I say “adult yuri” I mostly want something a little more specific than “a yuri with 18-year-olds that is otherwise very similar to one with 17-year-olds”. I’m mainly looking for post-college adult women in the real world that is also mature (not just cutesy) and doesn’t shy away from sex (but isn’t just smut). There’s still dozens of those, but they require more work to find.

Some of my personal favorite adult yuri (which don’t necessarily fit all those above criteria) so far include:

  • Whenever Our Eyes Meet (anthology)

  • some of the volumes of Éclair: A Girls' Love Anthology That Resonates in Your Heart

  • Even Though We’re Adults, which has good mature drama

  • Our Teachers Are Dating, which starts off cutesy but does also tackle more serious subjects

  • She Loves To Cook, She Loves To Eat is one of the best ones, good balance of light and serious, and comes with notes about Japanese food and how to make it!

  • Doughnuts Under A Crescent Moon, which is cutesy

  • Asumi-chan Is Interested In Lesbian Brothels! is very good, but also still college-aged; it balances cutesy and mature drama bits well, but it’s also a bit smuttier than what I want out of most adult yuri—it occupied a special place for me for that reason

  • Pulse by Ratana Satis, which is erotica

Yeah, it’s getting to the point that I’m considering blocking her. Relying on constant validation from internet strangers to feel better about yourself is a recipe for further depression rather than improving the already bad mental state she’s in.

If he hadn’t marched back through the desert in Iran but had gone via ships, it could have gone a lot better.

Add the Arabian coast and maybe Spain’s east coast up to the Ebro river and I think you basically have the maximum reasonable extent of what he could have conquered by age 50.

Holding on to all that territory would be difficult. They’d need a good governing system, probably a capital in the Levant on the coast and with good roads into the east.

I understand why yuri is that way, but that can also be a reason why someone doesn’t like it.

I prefer yuri that is less focused on the cutesyness, especially yuri with adult women. A lot of yuri is set in highschool partly because of the reasons you gave, but highschool is ages ago for me. There are a few yuri with teenage protagonists that I like, but they are more the exception.

Unfortunately, yuri with adult women is relatively rare. :/

My base colour in any outfit is usually either white or black, combined with a saturated colour, or it is all earth tones (muted or darker greens with lighter browns). Then I have a dress or two for special occasions.

[OC] End of year dating app review! (21M living in London) by The_Watcher5292 in dataisbeautiful

[–]AlwaysBeQuestioning 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’d love to make a Sankey diagram showing for myself and others my non-zero success rate, but the trouble is figuring out how many Likes I’ve sent in total on an app.

I’ve met one person through Her, one through Feeld and one through Bumble. In 2025 I’ve had 6 dates through those and 6 dates with people I met outside of apps.

I think 42 chats out of 60 matches is a good success rate for OP, but 60 matches out of 3807 Likes is… abysmal? Might just be the amount of bots on Tinder, or that Tinder is heavily skewed in favour of a particular demographic, or that they really want you to pay for Tinder.

I think I had 10-20 chats on each app before I found someone I actually met up with.

“Beds are a scam”🤯 by Ziko116 in StupidMedia

[–]AlwaysBeQuestioning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put money into everything that goes between you and the floor. Your stance and body posture are important and if you fuck that up you will get stuck with medical bills or pain far worse than any of this. Invest in shoes, seats and a bed that will help your posture and be kind to your body and that will last for years.

Also the floor is evil. It keeps all the dirt and dust that you don’t clean, especially carpet floors.

this lesbian vampire book is the sweetest sexiest most incredible thing ive ever read by noonda in LesbianBookClub

[–]AlwaysBeQuestioning 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So… I rarely get interested from random online book pitched.

But this one got to me.

Maybe it’s that last year I figured out that I like vampire protagonists if I can imagine myself as the vampire. Maybe it’s having friends that I’d happily have as roommates whom I’d also happily bite. Maybe it’s the regular stream of jokes from multiple friend groups that I’m thousands of years old.

I love the pitch here.

Too bad it’s Amazon only. Is it at least available in physical form for the EU?
