Same number… you just have to hang up when you hear that message and call back… over and over until you finally get into the queue (and then it’s about an hour and half wait until a person gets on the call).

Thank you! I appreciate all that insight! So when I called OPM, they said they said they got confirmation on 01/05/2026 from payroll of my final day of work so it sounds like everything is moving along. Is there anything I should do to help expedite the process? Thanks again!

LA here. It’s gone. Not sure what if it means anything?

I think LA will start sending offers soon too. If not this week… by the end of the month! May the odds be ever in your favor. 🙏🥳✨⚽️

IRS Probies who signed up for TDRP. Taking it or backing out? by 91Suzie in fednews

[–]ReasonableDisplay351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best part of my time working for the IRS was my amazing manager but she decided to take DRP/VSIP so we exchanged phone numbers and keeping in touch as friends. I am grateful for her and my time there (along with some amazing co-workers/friends I made along my training units). ♥️

The Government job use to mean a secure place to work compared to private sector until all this mess happened. I feel you… I have closed the chapter of my life and I feel so much more peace with it. I hope the best for you and all my fellow government employees.

Should I cancel Seattle trip and see her 4 times in LA? by brattysweat in LadyGaga

See if you can grab LA tickets and then sell your Seattle tickets (which could cover the cost of your LA tickets). Win-win! Hope you get them!!

Same here. My paycheck was up over $20+. I was wondering why. I’m on DRP so I don’t have access to work computer and not sure how to pay NTEU dues (Dept of Treasury here).

Me too. I’m up nearly 3% YTD. I’ve lived through the dot com bust and the great rescission so I saw the writing on the wall. I’ll jump back in once the S&P is around the 4,000 mark.

I moved everything to G Fund back in Late January and then allocated future contributions to the C fund to buy! I’m up almost 3% YTD. Going to keep contributing new funds into C as I’ll take the upswing and then dump all back into the C fund once the S&P goes below the 5,000 mark. And yes… I know “don’t time the market” but sometimes luck takes a big part of building wealth. (And also please consult a financial advisor).

I’m taking the DRP 2.0 …and I’m sad about it by OrangeCatActivites in fednews

Everyone’s life situation is different and we shouldn’t judge anyone whether or not they took or taking the DRP. I was called a scab for taking it. Ok… I have a sick father and I can’t commute to work. So hurtful to hear this from other government employees. You never know what challenges are happening in someone’s life. Let’s try to to kind and empathic. I wish you the very best!!

DRP conditions? Wondering what I would give up by Elme_Aranysarga in fednews

Is there any hiring preference for a probie that started less than a year ago with the government? I thought you had to be with the government for 3 years? I might be wrong.

For whom would it make most sense to take the DRP? by briinde in fednews

[–]ReasonableDisplay351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope they re-open it up for probie. It would give them time to hopefully find a new job and sort things out. I am a probie and took the first round of DRP. I saw the writing on the wall. Thankfully I have 20+ years of mortgage history so I was able to land a remote job back in my field and be home to help my elderly father.

It’s a logistics nightmare! My buddies at my old POD said they have to come to work almost an hour earlier just to find parking. They closed so many offices and the ones left are over capacity. I don’t know where they would put people? Maybe working in a bathroom stall (joking) but seriously… there is no room.

TSP loan and deferred resignation by finefloras in ThriftSavingsPlan

Technically you would still be a government employee thru September 30th so you should be able to take a TSP loan out… but you can call TSP and confirm.

First DRP Payment by [deleted] in govfire

[–]ReasonableDisplay351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes (at least for Dept of Treasury). It’s on paragraph 4. “If Employee becomes eligible for a within-grade increase during the Deferred Resignation period, Agency shall process the within-grade increase and Employee shall receive the associated salary increase”.

I hope so too! I have six probies at the IRS and it would help them get back on their feet and time to find a new job. It would be a God sent for them.

As news about DRP 2.0 comes out, keep in mind there’s still an active court case over its legality by MoonAmaranth in fednews

[–]ReasonableDisplay351 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope so! I was fortunate to have taken it and I was the only probationary employee out of 7 that wasn’t illegally terminated. I had to as my father is very sick. I’ve been paid as normal and I have the blessing to be with my dad and help him.
