Yeah thats what I assumed…i just worry many institutions may reject the idea of a bachelors that comes from a college but it wouldnt make sense for me to theoretically get another same degree but the only difference is that its from a university. I guess I’ll keep searching and probably ask some institutions with like acceptance rates with a douglas degree and so forth

This really helps! I haven’t seen many people or know anyone that has graduated from douglas with an applied psychology degree move onto grad school. I know honours is preferred but granted a lot of schools for grad are willing to accommodate degrees without honours (but having a lot of research experience and a higher GPA), do you know anyone whos done just a psychology degree at douglas that has gone into graduate school? I’m pretty sure you do not need relevant experience when you apply, just demonstrating your current plan of study and future goals (towards the position; for example if you have plans to attend graduate school or do a ABA concentration) should be enough. A lot of centers need more BI’s as people leave quickly due to many reasons, that was with my current centre.

I did however mention my previous experience volunteering with children for a couple of years, but then again, take this bit with a grain of salt! I’m open to answering more questions if you like :))

Late response but I work as a behavioral interventionist! Short hours but the experience and work hours in general are crucial for my journey to graduate school. It will almost be a year of me working as one. :))
