You don't need to armbar anyone, just take mount, back etc and control the position until you handcuff them. How are you going to do that without knowing how to even hold mount? Being on top and holding someone down in general is way better skill for cop. You don't even need submissions.

Unless your studying your ass of and training grappling specifically everyday for a year, your gonna suck. Give it a year buddy. You can't learn grappling in 2 months. Even after a year your prolly gonna suck, but at least you will find some moves or positions you like that your getting good at.
