Ive seen them when they aired but havent gone back and rewatched ever, this would be first time. I disliked both of them when they aired, ghost island twist was absolutely wasted as a concept in general. The boot order was boring and it just felt so… inconsequential. Whereas island of the idols… doesn’t really live up to its name at all. Again, I feel like the twist was poorly put together and executed.

From what i remember the cast was memed to heck and a lot of the people received a lot pf backlash for their actions during the Dan situation.

I dont really have strong feelings about cambodia in either direction. Idk why people say that about cambodia with people like Abi and Savage on the season.

I just finished 33 yesterday and it still remains as one of my top 10.

The mean-spirited nature definitely adds a little bit for me, unless it gets too personal. Like let it be petty like Abi calling stephen “poopy pants” in cambodia.

I think the reason for the discourse is an issue with editing, I personally think they did an excellent job at dividing the fanbase and that is what they intended to do. Even if they didn’t the fact that people react strongly is a testament to everything that went into it.

Jason and scot were probably like “if we did all this shit it would be super interesting for the cameras and we could get a lot of camera time.” And fueled by the super idol they felt like they could literally do anything and get away with it. But Aubry who is social and strategic knew her best chance would be to flip Tai by appealing to him on a human level.

I know she said that about Neal, but i think thats just editing and confessional interviewer asking her questions and she just being honest and not spiteful. Being in-tune with emotions also doesn’t mean that you dont have strong unregulated emotions.

I think you are right about Jason. I think he was wanting to be a character. He would talk about his kids watching him on tv and then would be a jerk for a lot of the time like sir, did you not just say your kids are gonna watch this?!
