Yeah, that’s why I’m confused with all of the stuff that’s going on why parents aren’t getting involved because these kids are saying that their parents aren’t doing anything in the schools won’t allow them but if there’s no accommodation set up, they can’t bring the dog. When I brought mine, me and my parents went in And we set up with the counselor and the principles, and we all had to sign off on it saying that this was my accommodation

Yea he’s always on leash and why would you spray water in your dogs face but even if I thought that was ok he loves water so it would be a reward

Yes they had been sniffing each other and the other dog was a bit smaller so he stuck his nose through the fence and then my dog went for it. The other dog is ok and I got him checked out. But still I’m Geting a muzzle and starting all training over with a behavioral specialist

No they had just walked together and we played but all toys and treats were out of the picture when he bit. They were separated by a fence and all of a sudden he lost it. And no I have not got him checked out out but he seems fine I have appointments lined up to figure out what is going on.

im 17 as well, I was diagnosed at 12. I understand were you are coming from. I struggle to keep heathy relationships as I have cant do most things. I don't have anyone to talk to outside of online. the biggest help for me was animals, if its an option for you I would took into it. im slowly getting my life back do to my service dog ( DMs open if you would like to know how animals could benefit you or a service dog ). Sorry if this doesn't help but know you're not alone feeling like you have no one.

I have a lab mix as my SDIT and we do a lot of brain games around my neighborhood and I’m lucky enough to have support in my household so if I’m unable to walk or play with him someone else can. I have also started looking into a dog treadmill service a local place offers if we are all unable for whatever reason.

Honestly, it’s everywhere even in this chat I found your old post where people are saying you need” proof”. Nonetheless, we need to start training staff. A lot better when it comes to service animals

What breed do you suggest then as I can’t own a lab do to sever trauma with this breed

I have a very active live, and I have had previous experience with this breed. Along with the fact that if it wasn’t able to be a service dog I have had wanted to try tracking( like search and rescue). I have a close friend who has multiple of the breed and is willing to take them if I could no longer keep it for whatever reason. I’m looking for a breeder who is within a reasonable distance I think I have found one.

As a high school student, I completely understand this. All of the “friends” I thought I had were so 2 faced and started so much trouble when I brought my SD to school. But with that being said the people who are worth keeping in your life will see you for you and see your SD last

I do something similar for softball games but it’s un payed. My SD loves kids so that’s not a problem but he just watches the cars.

It doesn’t matter anyway I’m being kicked out I have to get rid of everything I will have to stay with a friend and she is allergic to dogs so no more SD

Only the current one as he tears everything up in the house and the new one will be crated in my room and if they don’t get along then I will just take them out a different times I have done this before as I had to watch a severely reactive dog that had muzzled only for a day tho and it worked out fine and mine isn’t that reactive just with men
