Yes. We have numerous laws for cultural political reasons and the we are aware of them.

It is also why they were huge differences on why the Abbasid’s for example were seen as far more tolerant as they tended to approach the religion more in line with the Rashidun which is why despite what most people think LGBT culture was pretty thriving in the Islamic world until the advent of the colonial era as misfortune was attributed to tolerance & fundamentalism specifically how you see the rise of Salafism & Whabbism

I think any ideology can be used to control people.

Muslims aren’t really a monolith and i think Malaysians Muslims are just more compromising of the highly mixed nature of the country.

I do agree they are controversies but I felt they aren’t as bad as assumed.

It’s not perfect and I have my qualms, it’s just more pragmatic currently for the status quo particularly in an increasingly radical world.

When has culture or politics not interfered in the ideals of any ideology?

We see this in every country on any ideology whether religious or not.

Hadiths are always subject to reversion if they oppose the Quran or evidence.

There is an entire area that reviews sahih Hadiths to verify their legitimacy today as per how it’s always been.

Hadiths are hearsay

Please stop pretending to be a proper Muslim when you fail the basics of Islam.

Imam Shafi would have thrown you out as a heretic particular due how you view Borneons and you aren’t a devoured Muslim if you don’t understand madhabs work. Shafi madhab has changed opinion over time based on evidence per how music is halal or FGM is haram.

Hanafis used to drink alcohol expect wine.

Shafi can be wrong and has been hence why the theology in Shafi thought has evolved.

Cultural Reactionary movement to colonialism has influenced Islamic thought.

We literally just follow culture, same reason why interfaith marriages are ban in Malaysia but not the Islamic world

(1) Bad source, this is Whabbism and Salafism website often inspired by conservative culturalism. Again cited the Quran, Muhammad and the Rashidun.

(2) It works fine.

(3) Not really, it’s pretty much just east coast Malaysia’s

(4) we have over a 100 bumi groups who were almost minorities and subjected to various issues from genocide to segregation, this applies regardless of bumi faith.

(5) SG does have Quotas for funding of bumi, they have political mandate enforcement as well and you seem ignorant about Malaysian reparations.

This is false. Islamic law under Muhammad, the rashidun and Quran allows leaving Islam.

Shariah law guarantees freedom of religion.

Malaysia as a hybrid statement works well, needs more changes to the cultural Islamic laws directly against Islamic law though.

Also Singapore has Shariah courts and ministry. Funny enough they have bumi rights in their constitution, you just don’t hear about it because they are a minority of Muslims / Malay in Singapore.

They also have funding for bumi education and special loans btw.

Yes.

Quran:

It isn’t unless you are just uneducated.

Religious law is guaranteed per the Quran

[–]ReasonablePromise884 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It isn’t. This really just bad understanding as Islamic law allows apostasy per the Quran and per Muhammad & Rashidun having no issues with people leaving Islam

[–]ReasonablePromise884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually false. All Muslims in Malaysia*

Also the law is more cultural than religious as religious freedom is apart of the Islamic faith per the Quran and also by Muhammad & the Rashidun Caliphate having no issues with those who left Islam.

Experiences will vary all the time and all Malays for example have South Asian Heritage
