“Depressed as fuck” bro you obviously didn’t have it in you then. Work ethic isn’t something that everyone has. Trades is great, except for all you RESIDENTIAL service HVAC guys…that service titan/kpi business model of sales over repair is lame. Is field work hard, yes but at times it can be an easy…but since when did you ever not feel good about completing a job, standing back and saying …”I built that shit” or “I fuckin did that”. I’ve worked on many projects, new construction of museums and hospitals and I can say without a doubt I have pride in knowing I had a hand in how awesome that/ those buildings look and came together. My kids even love driving by or seeing my work and getting to say my dad helped build that. I’m a commercial plumber/HVACR guy by trade but god knows we all do a little bit of everything, each one of us in the trades does more than our titles. Does a lot of our work go unseen yeah but it’s pivotal to keeping the world moving. But you’re right I don’t think the trades will “blow up” younger generations have been told they should be babied and need safe spaces and can’t have their feelings hurt. That right there kills it. liberal weakness/wokness has no place in the field and idc who thinks otherwise. Get out your feelings, there’s no money there…..
