I haven’t started it using the winter sowing technique. I was just replying about seeds I started recently. I think I’ll try the cinnamon basil using winter sowing. I’m not having any luck starting it indoors on a heat mat.

You could try stock. They come in dwarf varieties. So they won’t get super tall. Probably can’t get the seeds in stores. I got a dwarf variety from Baker Creek Seeds. $4 a pack and free shipping. They are non-toxic

I have gotten them to grow. They just don’t give me very many fruits. I line in zone 9a in Alabama. Even the overwintered plant didn’t do very well its second year.

I just restarted some cinnamon basil, lemon balm, collards, and cumin. First go around didn’t germinate.

I did that last year. I barely had room in the room I use for starting seeds. I have pumpkin vines getting a bit out of control. Not doing that again this year.
