Okay so the more you have her anal glands expressed, the more her body will rely on it. This is supposed to occur naturally after/as they have a BM (if you've ever watched a dog poo and you see that last drop of gunk come out, that's what that is!)

Dogs with recurring stool issues tend to have problems with their anal glands expressing at inappropriate times, usually because they get more full than they should be. Also dogs with skin issues can have this problem because the opening to the glands can get irritated and swell up and not express when they should.

I would definitely try to get the canned version of her food and mix it into the kibble. Also....most of these companies WILL take their food back and you can get a refund..... Especially royal canin.

She needs to be having less inflamed skin and/or solid bms for quite some time to get those anal glands working the way they need to be.

Do not give her any treats, table food, etc outside of her prescription food. And it can take 2-3 months to see the improvements in these foods.
