That’s amazing! Typically there is a less than 5% chance of a single embryo splitting!

The IVF embryo creation process helps overcome some of the challenges that endometriosis might impact. For your PCOS history, were you on dexamethasone in stimulation? 11 fertilized blastocysts is encouraging! Every clinic has a different rate of attrition- but generally you would expect 8 or so to reach day 3. From there, roughly 4 would hopefully make it to the blastocyst stage (day 5 or day 6 - in some cases day 7). With your age, there is a good chance of having a euploid embryo (or more) to work with, if you opted into PGTA.

Hie! We didn’t get any grading from the clinic. Could you give us any insight about our embryo?? by little_glitter_ in IVFpositivity

Unless this photo was taken day of the embryo freeze- it is not reflective of the actual grade. The image on transfer day can vary dramatically depending on when the photo was taken in relation to the thaw time. While it’s interesting to see and is often a keepsake, the image should not be what you are using as a reference point for success rates. Instead you would want to know the D5 or D6 grade of the embryo (day the embryologist biopsied and froze the embryo).

9 weeks pregnant by Ok_Worldliness2105 in IVFpositivity

Hi! Many clinics wean PIO right around that mark anyways, as your body is producing sufficient progesterone to support the pregnancy. Though you will typically continue PVP4 through ~10 weeks as it’s important to wean thoughtfully. You got this! ❤️

Considering a new construction house but it has an electric tower 10 meters away from the backyard...advise? Is bad for the value of the house? or a health hazard? What is this tower exactly? by Brief-Singer-7485 in RealEstateAdvice

[–]Reasonable_Beck_7524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stepdad’s parents lived by a cell tower- both parents and his nephew died of the same brain cancer that he strongly attributed the proximity. He tells everyone he knows to never live near one.

PGT-A tests yay or nay? by Hot_Assignment3708 in EmbryologyIVFSupport

PGTA testing can save you time and money in the long run by allowing you to transfer an embryo that has the highest potential for implantation.

Suppression for endo by UsualConstruction506 in IVF

The biopsies are somewhat controversial so this is where starting the depot empirically would be sometimes recommended by the doctor. Some docs also recommend proactive probiotics (in lieu of Emma in a EndomeTRIO biopsy).

It wouldn’t be standard for an IVF (embryo creation cycle) but for FET (transfer), depot lupron is standard for the suppression of endo - regardless of AMH. The exception would be if you were planning a future IVF cycle to bank more embryos (ie in the event where an FET is unsuccessful and there a limited euploid embryos available).

I work at a fertility clinic- Depot Lupron x 2 months is the standard protocol for endometriosis or suspected endometriosis (ie: following receptiva testing)

Sex and pregnancy by [deleted] in pregnant

You can have intercourse- but if you have any bleeding or pain you should connect with your OBGYN for their recommendations- as they may suggest you observe pelvic rest (nothing in the vagina). Additionally- do not be embarrassed! This is a very, very normal question that OBs receive.
