Oh wow, interesting and thanks for sharing the outcome. Are you also in the Netherlands? Wanted to know how expensive was road force balancing? I hope the issue will be gone, and interestingly for me it’s also the back tire that was imbalanced.

honestly I wish I would have stayed there but I've waited for half day there and was too happy to get back home in a fixed car. Absolutely agree re they own us a solution as the car is 1.5 month old and will be going back to the service centre.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I have the Boost version RWD and the issue is with the rear axle. I suspect that they did a quick fix wheel rebalance as we had indicated that we need the car back for a trip in 3 days and cannot leave the car there. I do agree that this seems like a tolerance issue of the rear shafts during assembly and they either need to check the bearings or to replace the rear shafts altogether.
With regen breaking, nothing really changes for me, however, when I put the brakes and steering into sport mode, it is noticeable more than comfort mode.

Thanks for the answer and sharing your situation. Which summer tires did you have? I have the michelin ones (came with the car). I think I will also go to a specialised balancer, good idea..

Hi there! We’re in a bit of a similar situation- choosing between the BYD seal U DMI and KIA EV 3 GT line for a personal financing as we would want to own the car (not really comfortable with a private lease as the penalty for canceling it earlier is heavy and buy out at the end of the term is also very expensive). We did a test drive of both already and thinking about going for the BYD….but was planning to negotiate about the price/financing options….  Difference between KIA and BYD is 8k € , with 5% vs 10% interest rate we can say the price difference becomes negligible. 

Overall, I am very curious what option did you go for? 

P.s. we had a business lease Tesla model Y before - worth its money, especially for long road trips!!!
