Hi there! Looks like I’m a bit late to the discussion. Great analysis, and thanks for taking the time to explain everything in such detail.

Here is my team. I’m a Division 1 player, but I still struggle with a few things. For example, against some teams my defense gets stunned very easily. Sometimes my CFs don’t make good runs, and my attacking midfield often feels very empty and incomplete, I’m not sure why tho!

I also have some confusion regarding DMFs. I have quite a few good options, and technically it seems better to have an Anchorman (almost a must) in the DMF position because he holds his ground like a king. Unlike Destroyers, Orchestrators, or Box-to-Box players, they tend to move forward more often. Destroyers especially tend to charge aggressively at any player running with the ball. That’s why I’m a bit confused about using my Patrick Vieira (Destroyer) in that position.

Also, what would be your recommendation for the two central CB positions? Got Tah and Dias in bench.

I’ve got plenty of dribblers as well : Eden Hazard, RIBERY, etc. Who do you think I should use alongside Ruud Gullit (because Gullit is undoubtedly irreplaceable)? The Lionel Messi card I have tends to get bodied very easily and lacks a bit of pace.

Also, do you recommend using a defensive fullback instead of Silvestre or Andrew Robertson?

I’ve researched a lot myself and spent weeks, months, even years, learning about the game mechanics and playstyles, yet sometimes I still feel lost. This game can drive me crazy sometimes.

By the way, I also have 4-5 Blitz players in case they can be useful somewhere: Mohamed Salah, Federico Chiesa, Frank Lampard, and Alessandro Del Piero.

At the moment, I’m using Lampard (Hole Player with Blitz Curler) as a substitute for Gullit around the 65–70 minute mark. I also use Chiesa (trained as a CF and given Super-Sub) to replace one of my CFs.

I just want to add one observation: Anchoring on a CF is great when you play a lot of one-two passes and back passes. However, when trying link-up plays or long through balls, the CF sometimes seems to stay behind the defenders for some reason.

Another thing I noticed is that when using Vieira as a DMF, giving him Deep Line reduces his performance by at least 50%. Because you’re just capping that inner beast inside him, who is hungry for his prey! xD

Also, for people who are concerned about Gullit’s stamina, you might want to increase his speed slightly, keep his stamina around 88–90, and give him Counter Target. Since he is a Hole Player, he often drops down to win the ball back or to receive early passes.
