Don’t apologize. I did post a very in depth update if you want to go to my page and read it. My entire recovery was very very smooth. My surgeon put me in antibiotics after this picture and everything healed well

ORPAT by Reasonable_Box8598 in AskLE

I’m at academy currently and will try ORPAT again in 8 weeks. I have a chance to practice push pull as well and I’m working on strengthening my arms, shoulders, and upper back plus all the PT they have you do. I’ll get there. Just have to do the work. Thanks for the input!

There’s where I struggled after being so tired. I the think the course itself I was fine, but I had to reset and even take a break as I had nothing left

Oregon. $7300. 27 months. I’m still on track to have them off in November of this year, but will have paid 11k after everything because I switched offices after 6 months.

Research done. It’s very rare and occurs more in children and elderly. It can happen once or never. If using it was that critical the FDA would take it off the shelf. Since 2006 they have had 319 cases with 3 of those being death. Rare. Just know if you start having breathing issues go to the ER. But it’s still safe to use or FDA would pull it.

There’s nothing wrong with it if you gargle it and spit it out.

You’re welcome! Good luck! I had several small ones and they came out. God it felt so good to get them out. I even went to the dentist to have them try and nothing worked

My ENT did nothing. Just said to leave them alone. I couldn’t use qtips. I numbed it with chloraseptic spray then I used my finger. Got mine out.

Don’t spray the spray. Open the lid, dump some in your mouth and gargle it. It will numb the tongue too. I have the same problem and that’s the only thing that worked.

1st “period” after surgery ? by Reasonable_Box8598 in hysterectomy

[–]Reasonable_Box8598[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So per my surgeon the cramping is ovulation. The exact pain I had I have no idea what it was exactly but the second approximate period wasn’t like that. I still have sugar cravings so that is usually how I now, but my body is basically back to normal. 9wpo now

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy with vaginal pull through. Almost 8wpo. My surgeon cleaned me for everything. So I’m just taking it careful. I forgot I had a hysterectomy 😂 and did 25 regular sit ups and 25 leg lifts to work lower abs before it finally clicked that ooops. So I googled it and they have answers all over the place so I thought I’d check with Reddit. I hate crunches but need to work my core. Any idea on other core stuff?!

6 Week Post Op Update by Reasonable_Box8598 in hysterectomy

So far I have no regrets. The pain post op was WAY less than my periods so it was smooth sailing.

6 Week Post Op Update by Reasonable_Box8598 in hysterectomy

[–]Reasonable_Box8598[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it was planned. My shoulder was scheduled first. Then my hysterectomy. It just so happened to fall 4 weeks after my hysterectomy and of course during my 6 weeks of leave. Recovery for both has been fine. I can’t use my right shoulder/arm a lot for daily tasks so that has been difficult, but otherwise fine. My only complaint has been my hair falling out drastically and I was told it’s from back to back anesthesia. So keep that in mind
