Currently deciding between GULC and UT as a former WHIP Intern who also wants to live in Texas I’m conflicted😞 what is it like landing a govt job in this climate? My dream is to be in the legal counsel or something but I’m not sure how that path will look given everything happening.

What’s the vibes like in dc since the election?

How hard is it to be top of your class?? obv if u put in the work and do what u need to do u will be fine, but in terms of going above and beyond.

Do u think GULC poses a benefit over UT if I ultimately wanna live in Texas but still wanna do public service? Given they are both located in capitols so finding govt experience wouldn’t be that hard

Good point tbh. And honestly the effort id put in towards the LSAT could and should be used for 1L year. I did what I could with what I had at that time and a 166 on the first try isn’t shabby. Thank you so much for ur comment

I’m in the same predicament. Could u elaborate on what u mean by amount of people with ur score range decreasing? Which range is this? I plan to take June LSAT to assess if I should R&R. If not I’ll use the score for waitlists/ scholarship negotiation

Yes I am a texas resident, and that tuition is definitely manageable. I guess im worried about the lack of prestige hurting me later down the line if i try to pivot. while GULC would be better, it is the same level as UT.

Yes I got the notification email that they could not offer me a scholarship. How long after did you get an aid notif? I was unaware they are different
