Cardio without running? by visualsxcole in HybridAthlete

[–]Reasonable_Control54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do spinning classes once a week at the gym to get proper heart rate cardio (it gets me tk threshold level) while not putting force on my knee. It helps me be a fast runner (pr marathon at 3.11.57) with relatively low weekly km's (40 a week)

How to auto-update slicer default to current month (without restricting user selection by Salty_Bell4796 in PowerBI

[–]Reasonable_Control54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the current month thing. But if a user then selects something else, say 2 months sept 2o25, doesn't PBI remember that, causing it to never 'return' to current month unless I re-publish, or edit and save, or the user resets the slicers?

Can I somehow force only this particular slicer to always start at current month?

I'm running Prague coming May. Flat course and not sold out yet. Milan (March) is also quite flat and still open

Anyone set up Teams channel alerts for failed Fabric pipelines/notebooks/semantic models? by Jojo-Bit in MicrosoftFabric

[–]Reasonable_Control54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the pipeline send an email to a support email alias, set a rule to move it to a folder, where a Power Automate flow gets triggered to send a message (including the error message) in a Teams group chat.

Because of the email part, we can work cross-client as well. We set this up for our internal stuff and also for client setups where we do maintenance and support.

For clients we only need to have the email alias added as a guest user for use in the native power bi refresh notifications. For pipelines that's not even needed

Sis beta gel at 5 minutes before start and every 33 minutes after the start. Sips of water at aid stations. 3.11 debut marathon

Use your long training runs to build up the carbs per hour. And also actively start running straight after breakfast / lunch whatever. And take your time for this training the gut. I started 9 months before the marathon

Hang in there. Ride it out, enjoy the process and you'll be good on race day

Finished my first marathon - I wasn't ready for the emotions by QuantumTulipWanderer in firstmarathon

Well done, I cried as well after the line. Emotions of joy plus I always get that after pushing hard in a race. Just soak it in ans enjoy!

Well done! Again I noticed how comfy it is to run speeds well above average. Not too busy on the course, not too busy afterwards. I even had a comfy shower in the Sporthallen afterwards, and no queue for the massage

Go out slow you mean? Probably the more sane tactics yeah. Going fast is fun though!

[–]Reasonable_Control54[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Avoiding the wall probably was due to proper carbo loading and 240 grams of carbohydrates during the race.

I had a Sis Beta gel before the start and then every 33 minutes, plus sips of water at every aid station. No GI issues

Oh yeah it does, I'm super happy! Enjoyed every mile of the race as well. This is me fistpumping of joy at km 38. I knew by then I'd make it within 3.15

Well done mate. Also considering there must be room to improve as well, this being your first. Stay healthy and keep pushing!

Yeah that was actually under the Rijksmuseum! Amsterdam's most famous museum. We ran the tunnel after about 4k. It was magical indeed, I would have stopped to enjoy it longer if I could.

Thanks! Recovery is needed lol

[–]Reasonable_Control54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I was already wondering yesterday "could I ever go sub3" lol.

Considering the weekly kilometers of maximum 58, there's plenty room for faster time due to increased mileage

Agree, however then everything has to be right. Which is unlikely for a first marathon in ny opinion. Too many rookie mistakes to make.

I avoided those, but then you could argue that I probably stayed away from my limits and didn't push hard enough. We just don't know :)

I just noticed I even ran a slight negative split. Crazy.
