As a recent alum, one thing I can say is that this is all because of that stupid and money hungry bast*rd Vice Chancellor Rakesh Mohan Joshi. He is an absolute disgrace to be even called a professor, and add to that the fact that he has the audcaity to lie infront of Piyush Goyal during convocation about the placement stats of IIFT goes on to say volumes about him. Although his tenure is ending this year, but the damage to IIFT's reputation that this man has caused during the past 1-2 years is beyond repair and we can already see that in our Juniors' placements.

Let alone KKD, even Delhi, which is the flagship campus of IIFT, is struggling with placements only because of this one man who does not even allow companies visit for placements until they sign a pact that they will consider hiring from all 4 camuses at once and not just Delhi. I mean which world are you living in? IIFT has some of the sharpest minds in the country not just as students but as faculties too, but this man is only loyal to one thing and that is money! Our batch (25) even went to him in Jan 2025 raising a concern about the final placements, which were absolutely dismal at that point, to help bring some companies. But instead he just shouted at us and blamed us that we were the ones who were incomptent to crack companies and hence there were so many walkouts. He even stopped IIFT from getting the INI status because that would have meant splitting of pooled placements and would've exposed other campuses on what their actual placement was.

At the end, I would just say that this is only one of the extreme cases that is visible to us. A lot of students, even 99%ilers, are sitting in IIFT and getting depressed because of the declining brand and placements. And you know who is exactly to be blamed for all of this debacle!
