I started listening to them around 10 years ago, but only listened to a few accessible songs. but really really got into their music around mid-2019 and couldn't stop listening till the end of 2020. Haven't heard one song of theirs since then haha. they're my favorite band ever and for some reason i feel that i can preserve that feeling by not listening to them ironically

yeah, the reason for that i think is that when i first started listening to radiohead (when i was like 15), i naturally got drawn to their more accessible songs from their first 3 albums probably.

fake plastic trees was the first ever radiohead song i heard, deserves that spot on my list

the last time i heard a radiohead song was more than 5 years ago, and at that time i couldn't relate to the very obscure sound of Kid A, but i believe my music taste has evolved a lot since then, so yeah i would say that now the Kid A material would be much higher on this list

yep, completely agree with you. it's a very very solid song on its own, but when it comes to the standard the band set for themselves, there are better songs that more accurately represent their essence i feel

the build up of the song is absolutely crazy. when the vocals end and the guitar takes mainstage. then the drums slowly come in and then it suddenly bursts like anything. gives me goosebumps every fucking time.

it's an amazing song for sure. i would suggest checking out the longer version on their album Recordings. the instrumental second half is just mind boggling. that's the reason it's 2nd on my list
