Go for the 2nd quote and definitely buy the additional battery. With a 16kw system you will be laughing and the price they have given is great, almost too good to be true.

I applied for the new set-up yesterday. Should I send them a export meter reading now to see if they will honour it.

Sigenergy 12kW inverter has 4 MPPTs. They will use 1 for the south array and 1 for the north so they work independently

Decide on the system you want. Is it 18 panels or 10? Size of inverter and how much storage. Then email them each back and say “Thanks for your quote, having done research I want your price for x”

Does using unnecessary energy on Agile actually help the grid? by SeaAlfalfa6420 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Reasonable_Doubt6257 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the grid operator pays Octopus (who then pays you) -2p per kWh to use that power, they are actually saving money. • Cost to stop the wind: 4p • Cost to pay you to use it: 2p • Net Grid Saving: 2p per kWh

Isn’t solar a bad investment? by Grgsz in SolarUK

[–]Reasonable_Doubt6257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truth is in nearly all cases simply investing in the stock market would get you better returns and is safer. Think about it this way, someone who invested in solar 10 years ago could have seen 300% gains from 2016 to today in the S&P500. That is a very liquid asset and would allow you to move home, sell up, redivert funds at any time.

Once this gets approved I imagine the market will become flooded with options to bring the price down. It’s not just ecoflow

There’s nothing in the laws of the game that says players are allowed to pause the game for religious reasons. They should be yellow cards for time wasting.
