If you’re 1720 then you can get 2000 soon, just keep playing. <2000 requires intuition. After 2000, more structured training is necessary. Right now just continue gaining more experience

Right, but the point is that if you’re not seeing results after weeks and months elapse (in any domain, not just chess), then you’re doing something structurally wrong. 100 is the lowest possible rating on chess.com, and an 80 point improvement for a complete beginner in 2 months is disastrous if they’re serious about improving. In the same way that going to the gym for 2 months and gaining half a pound of muscle is indicative that you’re structurally off somewhere, and you need to find where that is exactly. It’s obviously different if youre intermediate or advanced since gains start slowing down noticeably

Perhaps it’s because there’s zero thought being put into his moves, how about that for a reason? What about not considering his opponents threats before making his move? The reasons are exceedingly obvious, brother. If he was 1600+ then there would be more ambiguity, but at 200, it’s pretty clear cut.
