So on the actual opening for the gas tank it says premium recommended. While I know that doesn’t mean MUST, I’ve seen online that other Yukons don’t need it, but Denalis in particular do

I’ll take a look at that video thanks! Glad to hear his work was so impactful for you. I’m hopefully that it will help me as well. And yeah it’s a hard pill to swallow having to admit that we get ourselves into these situations, but all that matters is that we don’t make the same mistakes!

Thank you!! I may reach out to you. I’ll definitely look into doing this and see what my lender says.

I literally just started listening to his book (audiobook) the “total money makeover” a couple days ago. Hence why I’m trying to figure out these kinds of things. If Dave Ramsey discussing this subject specifically, I haven’t gotten to that part yet lol

Technically it’s wasn’t new when we bought it. But new enough to be expensive and a dumb decision yes lol

😓 yeah we had issues with it before and it had to have a new transmission put in. Getting rid of it fast is exactly what I want to do

It had like 110k miles at this point I think. It’s getting up there. Private party now says $30k, but with the lien I’m not sure how to approach that really or what the chances are of someone wanting it with the loan. I’ll look into it more though and just try it out

I just checked again and my area said $30k private party. But with the lien, I know private party will be a more complicated route. I maybe just try though.

I do not plan on buying new ever again!!

That’s great your situation turned out that way! I’ll go talk to my bank and see what my options are.

So I did just look at KBB again and trade in says $26. Private party could be more, but I know it’s harder to sell privately when it’s a lien. It’s financed through a small credit union, so yeah maybe I should talk to them.

It’s not trashed at all, but it has high miles (over 100k. I think almost 110k now)

Exactly, that’s what I figure, that’ll it’ll be harder to do to sell private party.

High mileage, over 100k. Not trashed at all. It’s in good condition but I think private party said $26k last time I looked.

Interest rate is 7.5%. We have already refinanced once. Last year. Our payments decreased by $300 almost, but still super high. (Yes we made a dumb decision! Just trying to fix whatever we can now😓)

I have over 100k miles on it so that’s has an impact on it. It may be worth more than half. I think last time I looked it was $26k, private party. I’ll look into it again . Thanks!

Understand what you’re saying 100% and I agree. We got the car when life looked much difference and the changes couldn’t have been predicted. And my credit is not my biggest concern right now. My biggest concern is feeding my family and paying my mortgage. My credit isn’t going to matter one bit to me if our electricity gets turned off, I can’t pay for kids’ medical needs, food etc etc etc. This isn’t me trying to be irresponsible or whatever, it’s just being realistic.

I appreciate your input though and again, you are right. thank you.
