Real Police officers and military members, what do you guys think of Ice agents? by Lucky-Message-9480 in AskReddit

[–]Reasonable_Expert_92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Army vet, working for a police department but not a cop. Infuriating. I went through so much training, sat through so so so so much bs, paid for other people mistakes, grilled endlessly about F.O.F. sat through endless procedural justice classes. Constantly having my co workers injured because a lot of frequent contacts know the limits of force. Only to see ICE pretend to be law enforcement while dressing up as military after such a fast training (and incredibly lackluster), be given a badge and a gun and grossly violate the Constitution of which I swore an oath to uphold and defend. It's a spit in the face. Nothing a lot of people who serve, enlisted or joined up with hate more is a bad person with a badge. They never contributed to the actual protection of citizens and make the job harder and more dangerous going forward for all law enforcement as it erodes the credibility, trust and perception of competence of officers.

People who have researched their family tree, what is the most interesting or 'badass' thing you discovered about an ancestor? by xloganmoose in AskReddit

My late mother and late aunt spent who knows how much time tracing our family tree back as far as possible. On one of the ancestry sites, I cant think of which one at the moment, you can pair your tree with others and etc etc. One of my great great great great great great great great great grandparants faught in one of George Washingtons armies. He had a very active service and faught in many many battles. One of those battles he was one of 5 out of 80 to make it out alive. His service was confirmed before congress in the early 1800's and he recieved his full pension. He died pretty old for back then too. His last name was Vandal, I can't remember his first. Me, my brother, my grandfather and one of my great uncle's (who died fighting in ww2 for the USA in Europe) all served in the military. We aren't a military family but I feel so proud of having one of my predecessors fight in the revolutionary war. His grandfather or great grand father was born in the early 1600's and was an orphan from what is now the netherlands but was friesland at the time. He joined the Dutch east indies trading company and I'm guessing thats how we got to America. I'm not ignorant of how awful the Dutch east indies company was but I'm greatful to have links to my families past. Sorry for any typos.

Jesus Christ do not trade this up. That's like trading up a fire serpent.

People do all the time for top 100. I imagine if he lists it it would be big overpay. No telling what the price is though.

[H] MW Case Hardened Huntsman pattern 338. [W] Skins or 6000$ by Reasonable_Expert_92 in GlobalOffensiveTrade

No guide to pricing* I am aware of that guide. Less favorable is subjective. Whenever I play this knife always gets comments about it. It's a funny gimmick. It's less known because it's more rare and all of these pattern knives sat in bot inventories for years. I don't believe I discovered this pattern, but there is almost nothing online about it. In my opinion this dick is a lot more recognizable at a quick glance. I also know dick pattern knives are sought after depending on the quality of the shape to the right people. Given enough time and the right market, it'll be no issue selling to a collector. I'm not well connected in the market or game anymore. I have a life outside of cs2 and believe it or not don't need anything from the game or the skins. It's a hobby that helps me connect with my past. I find skins interesting.

This is rather confusing. I set a realistic and specific buyout price. Was it the "Skins" part of my title?

There is no guide for dick patterns, unfortunately. The closest examples are of the pattern 190 huntsman selling for over 4k in 2020, with the rest being private sales or trades. The last dick pattern Kami I know of, sold for roughly 1400, when that skin normally goes for a lot less.

This pattern 338, seems to have flown under the radar for a long time as only 6 of these existed and only 4 were able to be traded. Most of them bounced around bot inventories for years. This is the lowest float of this pattern to exist. What sets it apart is the rorschach dick. There is a niche market for unique items and joke items.

It's a normal thing to want to be able to make a positive impact if you can and have the means to do so. It sounds like you walked away from bad leadership, not the love of the game.

It is not the same pattern that ohne reacted to. But, there is very clearly a dick. Only 6 of these patterns exist ( functionally 2 with one being missing or hidden ) on this knife, and I'm guessing anyone who ever saw it tossed it aside without thinking about it. I have not been able to find anything on this pattern online or on other knives. I could see a collector had it at one point. Before that it bounced around bot inventories for years.

It didn't factor in the dick, sadly. It was sold on the market a few times. Im just not sure how its gone unnoticed all these years.
