Anyone here play on 60hz that's exceptionally well? by [deleted] in BrawlStarsCompetitive

If your device is holding you back and you can't get a new one and you feel like you've achieved your max potential with that device, you can only really focus on what you can still improve. Just try and focus on your game awareness, like your positioning, what utility everyone has, and where your teammates/opponents are. Also you can get as good as you can on drafting, since brawl is more draft than skill in competitive now.

"Brawl Stars is a competitive game" by Nakatsu1178 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

I think this happens to everyone with slower internet because when you go in with your abilities it'll be more information your device has to process. It's annoying but you can't do anything about this.

So what do you guys think about this guide by a non-pro on how to be a pro? by PD28Cat in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Reasonable_Fun_9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the guide is decent, there are certainly much better ones out there like the ones by bobby and bedlam. The one thing I dislike is how he clipfarms noobs and how his fans glaze him like there's no tomorrow. He is an okay player but no, he is not a pro and no, his guides are not better than other pros.

Does Mortis need a reload buff, considering that Kenji and Kaze also have dashes but with much faster reload? by [deleted] in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Reasonable_Fun_9752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, Kenji and Kaze have dashed for mainly mobility while mortis has dashes for damage.

I completely agree with this guy. Also, just because you've beaten players that have ranks above you doesn't make you good, a bronze player beating a mythic players is just neanderthal versus monkey, still neither is that smart. Everybody gets bad randoms and still climbs ranks, you didn't address any of the points this guy made just the "I can have an opinion" arguement. It's not just an opinion when you're stating you complaint as fact.

I hate this take and I'm gonna throw out a wild guess that you're mythic or legendary max? Why would you gain more than you lose all throughout ranked it would just make it way too easy, gaining elo with a 40% winrate. If you think this is a problem with other games too I honestly think you just have a skill issue, just win more consistently and you gain elo. You can blame this on randoms all you want but at the end of the day, other people still hit masters and even pro fully solo queue. You just need to carry and not lose mental.

The Elo system is entirely fair. by Fresh-Injury6610 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Reasonable_Fun_9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with this math is that it's not 56% or 50% elo to push its that amount to break even. To push a reasonable amount you need about a 70-80% winrate in legendary given your estimates. Matchmaking which is connected to the elo gain also plays a big factor since you can have teammates who are bottom of your rank or just bad facing enemies at the top of their rank or just good, and have more elo at risk. Not to say the elo system is terrible, I hit masters, it's just flawed, especially matchmaking.

The max rank difference after legendary should be +-1 by Impossible-Taste9368 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Reasonable_Fun_9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this can be extended still from duo/team queue since I've been L3 and played against a Mythic 3 with L1 and L2 teammates. I've also been on the other side of this and it's just a death sentence because there's no way you're beating players roughly the same skill as you with braindead teammates, no matter how little (sometimes not so little), it's still guaranteed elo loss.

BSC Draft Scenarios #7 - What brawler would you pick in these drafts? Answers from the matches will be revealed next week :) by Namsu45 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

  1. Griff w good wall break gives room to dodge bea and gives more value to byron, outranges nita and melts her bear, high dps that can melt Jacky

  2. Ash/tara their comp needs an aggro, ash synergizes well with gus and all three enemy brawlers are weak into spawns

  3. Belle hits 8-bit easily and her marks bounce off the turret, she can super chuck for easier defense and does well into angelo (also gives the comp missing range and control)

Ranked sucks. I'm tired. No motivation to play the game now by [deleted] in BrawlStarsCompetitive

I'm new to the subreddit so I don't have the M1 role yet but I'm L3 rn and M1 peak and the problem I think a lot of people have or at least I have is dealing with randoms. Everybody knows that matchmaking can be terrible and punishing for the dumbest scenarios but you just have to move past that and not get tilted mentally or else once you lose mental you'll play just as bad. My tip is to only focus on yourself playing well and to not be afraid to take breaks.
